I want to like 1 the best. But I think that 3 clearly looks better. They sort of balance out your skin, hair, and eyes.

The solids are much better than the mottled.
The not all blue is actually better for blue eyes because of contrast. The blue frame competes. Similar to eye makeup color concepts.

#3 looks the best. Polished and sophisticated. I like #1, but it may not be as versatile--it looks more casual with the color and mottling.

I like both pairs, Alana, but the burgundy with turquoise accents brings out your blue eyes so beautifully, so I'm voting for those.

Karymk--thank you!
Astrid--yes, definitely, I want to coordinate these with my own colouring. I plan on having them five years or more.
Aldlfa--hee, hee, yes, I know exactly what you mean!
Unfrumped--yes, I understand the concept. That's a thought.
goldenpig--my life is pretty casual! But ill it stay that way for five years?
Inge, thank you for your lovely words.

It seems pretty clear that since I posted the burgandy ones for comparison, they have out led the way: the question is now, will Angie agree? or buck the trend?

I still prefer the red - #3, actually. I think the blue is a dash maximal and competes with your gorgeous eyes. That said, I love the blue too. And you can't go wrong with either pair. Do you have a preference, Alana?

Thank you so much for weighing in so early in your day, Angie. I really appreciate it.

Ugh.

Blue:
pro. I love the deep dark blue colour. I love how they look almost black, but they are actually blue: the unexpectedness of it is a big plus.
I like the weight of the blue.
con: I don't like the degree of variegation with the stripe. In fact, my first instinct when I saw them was to ask whether they would all look this way or whether it was possible to get a pair a little more toned down.

Red.:
pro: it is sophisticated.
I love the colour inside the glasses. That bit of surprise makes me happy.
I'll take your word for it that it enhances my eye colour.

con: I flush easily and that worries me.
it's a lot of actual colour. (Though, for me, red is a neutral so I am not worried it will restrict my wardrobe choices in any way--except, won't it be ALGO with an orange apron? I've taken to wearing orange dangly earrings, too, to coordinate. That may definitely be too much going on!)
They make me nervous. (But hey, a little bit of uncomfortableness can be a sign of a good thing. I don't want to play it too safe!)

I will make my decision by noon my time. (mountain). I told the store I would call and order them today as they will take 2-3 weeks to come in.

So.............inquiring minds want to know

LOL Susie! I have to wait two weeks, so I only thought it fair to make all of you wait too, lol! Is that too cruel?
