Special Olympics opening ceremonies.

I'm currently watching the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics. I jut want to ssy. I love watching these Olympics. It is a break from all the darkness in the world. Plus I love the Countries Native Clothes.

I didn't even know it was on. Seems awful late for winter sports... But I agree the Special Olympics is awesome. It should get more coverage.

Yes they did not promote it to much or I've not been watching TV because of all the negative news. I just happen to catch it on ABC. They are going to be doing highlights every night and on espn2 they are going to show more coverage.

Such a wonderful event. I volunteered for several years at the local-level one, and it was just exhilarating to work with those athletes. It would warm the coldest heart to see their achievements.

I, too, love the special olympics. Very heart-warming to see the strength of athletes that have much to overcome and persist to do so.

My daughter Ruby has Down Syndrome and has been participating in the Michigan Special Olympics for, well, this June will be her fourth year! She's 19 and a swimmer, free and back, and has many gold (and other including DQ's hahaha). She's 19 and I couldn't be more proud. I've been chaperoning her and 2 or 3 other girls each year and the whole experience just makes me weepy with gratitude and awe for these special adults.
