Well, it looks like you already got the tattoo!! It's a personal decision....you'll know if it's right. But what a great story!!

Speaking of meaningfull tattoos.... I remember how I got mine))
I used to perform in a band and I wanted a tattoo that would be suitable for rock style and would really mean something for me.
I drew a sketch on the back of my song's lyrics and it contained two notes merged into a Ing-Yang sign.
Later my friend stufed it on my shoulder in dotwork.
Now I'm looking for something to inspire me on my next tattoo.
I want it to be sexy like these ones but yet it should mean something for me personally! How can I connect it to music or singing?

Hi Alexzandra, inspiration for a new tattoo will hit you over the head like a riff you think you've heard before but just happened to be a product of your own imagination. I hope lightening strikes soon.

Janet, I take it you are still tattoo free?

Ha! Old thread, but no, I have never quite decided to get ink.

One of my stepsons' friends from art school is an amazing tattoo artist in Portland. If you want some interesting inspiration, Google Pony Reinhardt. Beautiful work. She was featured in a "top emerging tattoo artists" feature recently and deservedly so.
