I'm confused and would like some enlightenment

I like a dressy , fitted, pointy toe boot with a heel. Always have, and most years have one pair on hand. I stopped wearing them though for a couple of winters a few years ago feeling they were no longer current but last year picked up a pair of stretchy micro fibre boots with a great lower stiletto heel from Calvin Klein at an end of year sale. I just find them sexy and feminine, but don't want to look like a holdover from the 80's either.

So are these boots considered current and on-trend still, or is this a hold over for us - ahem - older women who grew up on this look.?? Janet did a big boot purging post a couple of weeks ago, and advice seemed to be to get rid of a pair she had that were like this. That stuck in my mind. But since then, Angie has posted a couple of ensembles including pointy toe boots.

Now don't let this question veer off into issues of weather and fussy foot issues - it's just a style and currency question Tell me what you think!
