some recent outfits - YouLookFab Forum

Ignore the dark circles under my eyes. I've been in jetlag hell all week. Somebody told me it can take one day per every time zone - which means I have three more days of this mixed up schedule. Grrr.

For Sunday window-shopping - the new black ponte knit pants:

This outfit turned out to be way too hot, as the weather hit mid-60s. I guess I should've checked the forecast before we went out. These pants will be the best when the weather gets a little colder. Of course, boots with wool socks just added to it, and this jacket, being pleather, made me sweat something fierce!!

You've seen this cardigan a zillion times, one of my favorites, Jcrew, a few years old but holding up very well. The top is ATL - I have worn it numerous times this summer, but never took a pic. I was trying to see how I could adapt it for fall. I love the neckline, but I'm never quite sure the yellow is quite right for my complexion.

I really love this AT top, but I fear every time I wear it, the outfit looks so dark. Hard to wear long pearls with it because of the detailing on the neckline. I've worn it before (no pic) with COH Huttons and giraffe pumps, no jacket, clutch. That worked better because at least my arms were bare, breaking up the dark. Any suggestions for cardigans or blazers I could layer that would make it less of a black hole?

Oooh I love them all. I personally think you look amazing in yellow and thought so right away when seeing the picture (before reading your complexion worries).

I love how your hair was styled for the Friday outfit picture (I know it was last year). Your face looks great with your hair tucked behind your ears like that! And that's a super fab outfit as well. Amazing, actually!

Gosh Shiny, I love that you have an identifiable style and yet I never know what to expect when I open the link. All of your looks are fabulous but here's my two cents worth:

Sunday - Loved this outfit, especially the scarf and doctors bag.

Thursday - I love you in bright yellow, your cheeks are still rosy so no sign of you being washed out. A paler yellow probably wouldn't work as well.

Tuesday- I love the subtle contrast of the colours, however if you are after more contrast I would try a silver grey blazer with the AT top.

Friday - I love any outfit worn with those shoes!

Marianna, thanks - I do like tucking my hair behind my ears. I do it pretty often (no matter how it looks from my photos). At some point in the day, I usually wind up tucked.

Rose - thanks about the shoes! I love them too. I often wonder what else I can wear with them (they are quite comfy). The thing that throws me off is the color of the cream on the t-strap: it's a warm cream, seems to want to go with browns instead of blacks.

Tanya has been rocking teal and purple in her recent threads and I think it looks fabulous, would you wear purple with your shoes? I would also wear the shoes with navy.

I love all your recent outfits, Shiny! The shoes are so awesome, and I think the outfit with the yellow top with the brown printed cardigan is especially amazing! It's so cute and I don't get to see you in that combination very often. Perfect for fall! My (close) second favorite is the cream jacket with the teal shoes. Great pose!

Rules are made to be broken. I love the colors and the printed scarf in the first outfit and I agree about how chic your hair looks behind your ears.
