Just received two new items from the UPS man, who hates my over zealous dogs.

VC Eliana cage sandals. These were an Angie pick and a Suz/Vickie buy (others too?) and I LOVE them. They are a better fit for my life than the Okalas right now (although I have not yet actually returned the Okalas, so the final decision is not yet made) and are incredibly comfy. Someone had mentioned sizing up in the VCs, which I did not do. They feel great to me. Do they look small to you?

JCrew cat top. What do you think about this top? I am just not sure about it. I think I might love it because it reminds me of Suz. Does that happen to anyone ever? I think it's fine but it's not true love. The only thing is, it was a great buy (sale, plus additional % off) and could be a great top for work travel.

Also shown here is a spring top from my wardrobe - a Chloe top found on consignment last year, charcoal gray and a fave even though I don't usually like ruffles of any kind.

Pardon the haphazard jean-rolling. It was done just for pictures. I'm wearing ankle slouch with booties today.

I think the top and the shoes look great on you. Hard to say about the fit of the shoes because in the photo it looks like your toes are right near the end in one side but not on the other -- I realize it might be a camera angle thing because it's always hard to get good pictures of shoes while you're wearing them!

I loved the kitty top on Suz and I love it on you too. If you both wear them with the Reiss jacket to the next meet up, though, it would be pretty funny!

I'm not much of a ruffle person either anymore, but I like that top on you very much.

I like them, especially the color. I think I would like them less with a dress or skirt, but the okala style would be workable for both.

My also over zealous dog has trained the fedex driver to being him cookies. UPS hasn't gotten the messages yet.

I love the kitty top! Nothing wrong with channeling Suz...as long as you love it too!

i like the sandals. if they feel good, then i think the size is good. love the knit top in #4, the ruffles take the tee to another level.

I like both items as well. I do not think the sandals look too small - as long as your toes do not come right to the tip/edge when walking. You could try a half size up to compare if you are concerned.
I love the top on you - the pattern and the colours are wonderful.

I think I might try the 9 when I bring back the Okalas, just to be sure. I have long toes so it is hard to tell.
Thinking more about keeping the kitty top. I think it could be a great work top.

The shoes look great, I love the color on you. Are your feet low volume? I'm wondering if these shoes will fit my narrow-ish foot. I have a couple of pairs of sandals that look the same, length-wise, on my feet and I did not size up because they they would be to loose across the instep. I think as long as your toes are not going beyond the edge of the show they are a good fit.

The cat top is fun and the colors flattering. I'm not too keen on mandarin-collar tops closed all the way to the top for myself, but it looks great on you. But even if it was a bargain, if it's not a 10 for you maybe you won't be reaching for it often, just a thought.

Gracie, I do have low-volume feet (I think). Low-ish arch, on the narrower side, pretty bony. Not narrow per se -- I never take a narrow show size -- but not blocky at all. My foot fit these really well.
I am going to look at the cat top tonight specially in the context of my spring/summer work travel capsule (which doesn't exist, so I guess I will be putting that together too). That should help make the decision.

I mentioned sizing up on those. It worked for me width wise but because I have short toes, I didn't like the extra length at the toes. It looks like they fit you well. I don't like to see toes or heels hanging over but I don't like to much extra either.

I also don't care for ruffles anymore but I really like that charcoal top on you.

The kitty shirt looks nice. I will just say that I've stopped keeping things that I don't love. When I keep something because it's a good price or might be nice to have, it usually ends up getting purged because I don't reach for it when I have options that I like better.

Thanks Susie - I couldn't remember who it was. And thanks for explaining about the extra room. It's amazing how important toe length ends up being to the way a sandal looks!

Love both pieces. The cat top (actually I couldn't make out the kitties, maybe it's time for glasses?!) has a flattering cut on you. I have trouble wearing this kind of neckline -- which is very popular now -- as I don't have your square shoulder line. I vote keep, especially if it's good for travel. Does it work layered with some of your favorite jackets, sweaters etc?

The shoes are fantastic - love them! The cat print top looks great on you but if you don't love it, will you wear it often enough? Great charcoal top too. Not sure on the size of the sandals - your toes do look as though they are right at the ends, which might bug me, but not bother you at all.

PS Our fed ex and UPS won't even come to our house anymore due to our three large dogs (one biting border collie). They leave everything at my family's business down the road. Which was a huge pain when we had a mattress delivered!

The outfits are awesome. Just super. The shoe fit looks fine, but I agree it's in the walking you'll know.

Those sandals are just gorgeous. As for fit, they look like they fit, but any smaller and they'd be too small. You could always try a half size up and compare.

That dark top is fabulous, too. Not sure about the patterned top. It's not amazing, but it's not terrible either.

I like the shoes and the Chloe top. I am not in love with the light top, sorry. Is the pattern cats? I can't tell from the pic. Perhaps it's more charming in person.

I think the shoes fit very well and look lovely - If you're not in love with the kitty shirt - I'd say return it - I don't keep anything anymore that I don't love - and I do love the Chloe top with a bit of ruffle at the sleeve and I NEVER like ruffles!!

Love the shoes! I'm debating on a look alike pair from DSW --- truly, they're almost identical, but, based on the reviews, they run wider --- a plus for my high volume foot. I'm sure the Eliana's are better quality.

I'm with you on the shirt -- I like it, but the shape and neckline doesn't see to flow quite as well as I'd like. You are a styling queen, so I have no doubt you could style it to perfection but, if you don't love it, you can always love it on Suz!

Charcoal top is a great way to do a ruffle --- minimalist ruffling!

I like the shoes and the top - I was debating ordering this shirt because I loved it on Suz but had the same doubts - would I like it as much on me? If I remember correctly, it is silk and dry-clean only - this is the main consideration that stopped me from buying it, to be honest. I usually wash and air dry their silk shirts but that is still a bit of a chore since they require ironing after line-drying. I bought a silk-cotton top from JCrew recently and really like that it can be machine-washed and dried - maybe something like this https://www.jcrew.com/womens_c.....8;Nloc=en_ would be more versatile for travel?

The sandals are great, I admired them on Suz and if not for the heel height I would get them myself! They look the right lengthy to me - does your feet slide forward when you walk? If not then this size is good.
I also loved Suz's kitty top and even thinking to get it for myself so I can be biased here However the main thing is if you love it...
That Chloe top seems a great find!

Okay, I am obviously biased about two of these items, so maybe my advice should be ruled out right off the bat!

So flattered, Viva. You are one of my style crushes, so it is nice to have the favour returned.

Now -- I think the shoes look a good size. Mine are about the same on me. I didn't "size up" but I did order the larger of my two sizes, if that makes sense -- I usually wear a 6.5 but occasionally wear a 7. I took the 7 in these and they seem to fit.

Interesting, I ordered the "washed grey" but mine have a snakeskin strap at the back. It didn't show in the photo on the Nordstrom's site, so I was surprised to see it. But it doesn't look like yours have it.

Either way, they are a great sandal. I think they look better on you than they do on me, to tell you the truth. I'm not sure I like them as well with the shape of my ankle. But I'm keeping them, regardless.

I think the kitty print top looks terrific on you. I don't dry clean mine; I never dry clean silk. I hand wash (in the washer on that cycle in a mesh bag) and hang to dry. And then iron.

I have found this top easier to wear than I expected. It works with white, obviously. But it also works with black and ink bottoms, which comes in handy during transitional seasons.

I like the other top a lot as well and can imagine it might be a workhorse.

There! I feel good having spent your money..

When I hastily made a travel work capsule last night -- pulling out my spring/summer jackets and pants and skirts -- I realized I am solidly in white/black/ink/grey territory. I also realized that I am really well covered with work bottoms and jackets, so I need to stop looking and buying in that area. (Even a hasty capsule exercise was very illuminating in that way.) I have a handful of tops for work, including a citron tank I recently bought from Cocolion (which I will show soon). Both these sandals and the kitty top work really well into the capsule and also work with my casual clothes. So both are staying put. I am also reconsidering the Okalas again, because it became clear (again) that footwear continues to be a hole. If I keep the Okalas and use them for work, I am completely covered work-wise until the fall.

Makrame: I thought about the dry cleaning thing as well. I like the top you linked to, but I actually love the mandarin top of the kitty blouse on me (more than the collared top), and I prefer the lighter colors. Suz's notes on her hand-washing success with the kitty blouse sold me on it.

Kellygirl: The VCs are going to be workhorses for me, I think. I can wear them for pretty much every facet of my life -- work at home, work travel, date night, lunch with friends. I can see myself wearing them all day if I choose to - they seem to be comfortable enough for that.

Suz: You look glorious in everything. Enough said.

Viva, the sandals have to feel good for you. I'm gonna try a pair because yours and Vicki's look so cool on. I didn't think I'd like the gray but I really do!

Kitty top is adorable the way you styled it with white jeans and the grey accessoires!

OKAY DYING for the Chloe top because I hate ruffles (and bows!) too but this doesn't count as a ruffle on that sleeve. It's just chic and cool and not girly or precious at all. Good consignment purchase?

Kary, it's one of my top 3 consignment purchases ever. I think I paid $65 so not cheap. (I always head right for the designer rack in my little consignment shop so I tend not to get away with really inexpensive finds.) But it is so unique. I love the non-ruffle ruffle. Plus it is a matte jersey, and I love that it has no shine. It's just cool. Very cool. I always feel great in it.

I just love the shoes and consignment top. If the kitty shirt doesn't excite you, don't keep it. Something else is always coming along.
