Some K/R's for Spring

I haven't logged on in ages and I miss all of you! I'm trying to get out of winter hibernation mode and so I've done some shopping. Can you please help me decide which items to keep or return?

photos 1-4: Seamly Stretch Blazer. Love that it is made in the USA but could use your opinion on whether it looks good enough on me to keep. My initial thought is that it looks much better open than buttoned.
photos 5-6: eShakti top. Not my favorite green (I much prefer the green I'm wearing with the Blazer shown earlier, I prefer jade/jewel tone green to forest green and this top veers toward forest). I wish it were not so low cut. I think it might be good tucked in but right now I don't really have any dressy bottoms appropriate for tucking in a top and I intend this top for wearing to work.
photos 7-9: eShakti dress. Not much to say about this, except what do you think?

I love the dress! Definitely keep!
The blazer is very nice too. I agree that it's better open than buttoned and I wonder if you need to size up. Love the stripes underneath it.
The green top doesn't seem to be lighting your fire and you can probably find something better.

agree with zibbets, love the dress. the blazer is ok, but closed it looks too small, it seems to be pulling across the bust line. not loving the green top, its not a great color and IMO the style isn't a 10 either.

Agree with the others on the dress - it looks great! I quite like the green top, but if you don't feel it I'm sure there are others that you like better. The blazer is ok, better opened than closed like you say.

OMGosh that dress is wonderful on you and really shows off your small waist !!

IMHO with that waistline, you should look for more items that show it off !!

The dress it's a keeper, for sure, perfect fit and such a great cut! I never wear my blazers buttoned up, but I think you can do better with a size up, top looks also good! Great finds!

Echoing that the dress is a definite keep!!

I think the top might work better semi-tucked if a full tuck is awkward, the shape doesn't really wow me untucked (although it may work better with pants). I tend to pass if a color doesn't feel quite right on me either since it usually ends up orphaned or passed over (although the color looks fine on you to my eye).

The jacket seems to pull buttoned, so it depends if you would want to wear it that way sometimes.

I agree that the dress is very flattering on you and looks great. I have more reservation about the jacket, as it appears a wee bit short all over - sleeves and body - as well as a bit snug.

Love the dress on you.
I am highly opinionated about blazers - even if you never ever ever want to wear it closed it needs to look good buttoned and closed to look good open. The sleeves a titch too short in my opinion. Again I am highly opinionated about Blazers.

The dress is adorable.

I think for the blazer you want one with a lower stance. If it has one button it should be lower, at your natural waist. That will avoid the pulling across or under the bust.

I say keep the dress (fit is great), return the blazer (too small) and although the fit of the top looks good it sounds like you probably should pass.

Dress is an insta-keep, you look stunning in it. I feel like the blazer is off in proportion to your height (I get this a lot of the time too) - it needs to be a tad longer and the button needs to hit lower. Top is not my favorite either; again, the proportions are off, with the length between shoulder and bust too long.

The fit of the blazer is not what it could be, the stance looks a little high or awkward or something and the width/length ratio isn't quite right either?
I love the green top, you look beautiful, and the dress is absolutely great, I'm thinking when you looked in the dressing room mirror you must've thought "Wow! I look amazing!" because you totally do.

I like the green top, but if it's not a color you love, and the neckline feels too low, I would pass and wait for something that you really want to wear. I think the neckline looks a little low, too--I want to hike it up a couple of inches, just for proportions sake.
The blazer is not wow-ing me. It looks like an empire-cut blazer, where the button is hitting you. It does look better open, but the button still seems to be in an odd place. I would look for one that is a little lower-waisted.

You look awesome in those jeans, too, by the way!

Another huge vote for the dress from me; it looks stunning on you. I think you could do better with the blazer, although it does look better open, as you say. It sounds as if your heart really isn't with the green top, so I vote return.

The dress! Keep the dress! I love the color and style of the blazer but wish it was just a smidgen larger because it's too tight when buttoned. I would keep looking if I were you. Something will turn up. I would pass on the shirt. I hear you don't like the color as much, and after seeing the gorgeous dress it's hard to accept something that isn't as flattering.

The dress is fan-freaking-tastic on you. Please keep. The top is nice but not totally wowing me. I think the blazer is not quite right in the fit. It seems a bit short -- the button is sitting high on your chest, and the sleeves look a little short as well. I wonder if you might be able to try a size up.

Yet another yay vote for the dress--it's incredibly flattering on you!

I rather like the color of the top on you, on my screen at least, but the neckline would give me pause, too. I'd wear a cami or tank under it or try to alter it slightly. If you're not loving the color, keep looking.

I think the jacket is pulling too much when buttoned. It could be what you've layered it over or the jacket itself. I don't mind the green top, but would pair with something more tailored to offset the fluid fit (cigarette pants or straight jeans?) The dress is nice, I"m a fan of a dress that doesn't reveal too much but is comfy and stylish.

Yet another vote for the dress. It is gorgeous on you. The blazer should be bigger or sharper, I think. And the top is fine, but you have to really want to wear it, or else you'll probably waste your money.

The blazer is going back today. For the first time in my life, there is no larger size to order. This blazer is a large and is not offered in extra-large. Now that I look closely, it appears there are button placement and sleeve length issues in the photos accompanying the blazer online, so I'm not taking this personally: http://www.seamly.co/collectio.....tch-blazer

The green top is going back too. The neckline is too low, I don't love it, and I don't really have great options for what to wear it with. Thanks for helping me reach this conclusion.
