It's an age since I posted but I still zoom in on the forum when I can. I continue to benefit from YLF and feel it's high time for me to say a big thankyou to Angie, Greg and all the YFL members who have assisted me in more than just my style journey over the past year.
When I began logging on to YLF I was bedridden with a ruptured spinal disc and the forum kept me sane. I have since undergone surgery with a very successful outcome, so successful in fact, that my life is once again chock a block, leaving no time to participate as I would like in the forum.
I have learned a number of important style lessons here that enhance my daily life. As an example, I have just returned from a trip to Europe where my travel capsule owed everything to the wisdom of the forum.
Please know that I value and sincerely appreciate the exchange of ideas, the generous sharing of skills and the courteous spirit that pervades YLF.

So beautifully said Lantana! It's nice to see you post. I am glad to hear your health is good and that you are enjoying a full, busy life. It's also great to know that even when people aren't heard from for a bit, they are still reading and gleaning a lot of helpful information.

I come to YLF not just for fashion advice but also because this is a positive place for me and that alone reduces a lot of the stress I carry with me from the day. That is why I participate daily. YLF is my happy place.

Yes, CocoLion, I understand. For the many months when disability made my garden and beach inaccessible, YLF was that happy place for me.

Thankyou for your kind responses, more than I deserve considering my long absence.
@ Deborah, thanks for wondering where your fellow Aussie had got to. Since May, I have been busy getting around seven thousand native seedlings into the ground with the reveg group I volunteer with. Boring old work clothes for that project, I'm afraid.
Spring is a few days away here and I feel the urge to freshen up my look after a winter (& travel capsule) of navy, taupe and black.
Now, I want flowers, I want green, I want pretty.
What better place than this for inspiration!

Suz, you are a sweetie, I do hope to participate more now that my big planting project and overseas trip are our of the way. My style Richter scale is rumbling, telling me some wardrobe revival is called for. I loved reading about your style aspirations and looked up the designers mentioned in the thread. This is all fresh ground for me, interesting and instructional.

So good to hear that you are back in form after a successful surgery. I know first hand how debilitating a ruptured disc is - you are exhausted just dealing with the unrelenting pain. What you posted is so true - we can never thank people enough. Here's to counting our blessings - if we have our health and our dear ones close by - then we have everything we need.

Yay, Penny's back! Sounds like you've done a lot of work and had some fun adventures. I'm glad you are well enough to be busy again. Can't wait to see how the wardrobe is doing. The change of seasons is a great time to dig back into it.
