I transition slowly. The weather changes everyday. I wore my light weight down parka to walk Sophie last night because it was so cold. During the day I could have worn sandals. I keep all my clothes out during this time of year.

Nodding along with everyone. This time of year is impossible to dress for. During the week I'm out of the house 9 hours and the temp fluctuations are exasperating! It's especially hard to dress my daughter for school.

I don't do an official seasonal switchover. But I do switch things around in my closet for the season. The last two weekends I've intended to tuck high summer items away, then pause, and change my mind. Problem is if I'm not really paying attention I could miss fall all together. What are fall temps? Daytime highs under 70 degrees until winter coat is needed?

I consider Fall temperatures to be in the 60's. I find 70's still feel like summer to me.

It's definitely a confusing time. I do what Janet does and transition little by little. I'm about to put the sandals away today except for one pair of sandal booties that might get an outing or two if it gets warm during the days. My shorts can probably go away now also, and most of my short-sleeved tees. But I'll keep the longer sleeved linen tees for a few weeks yet. Bit by bit.

It also helps a lot to dress in layers, I find. So in the weather you're describing I might have worn cropped jeans, sandals or sandal booties, a sleeveless top, and a light topper of some kind (to be removed in the heat).

Well come visit me! Winter is here... Snow at high elevations and temps close to freezing at night.

Yay for freezing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't really prepare for fall until November, unless I'm traveling. That said, for me a temperature of 80F as a high is perfectly fine jeans weather. That's what happens when you l live in the southwest for so long I guess.

It was 35 degrees F when I walked the dogs this morning. Fall is here.
