Hi
These may seem not risky outfits but for me they push slightly out of my comfort zone.
The two items in question are the belt in pic one and the boots in pic two.
I am not afraid to wear things that I love even if offbeat or not what other people wear BUT the place where I get fearful is in showing my body shape or being seen as sexy in anyway. It makes me soooo uncomfortable.
So even the subtle shape of the belt and the fact that the boots go over the knee ( not sure why I have sexy in my mind about that .. )
Pushes me slightly out of my comfort zone.

But they worked out I think and I felt pretty comfy in them.

I know what you mean about OTK boots, I feel the same way and I don't really know why. This looks really nice though, love #2 especially.

Both look good and the boots are amazing! To my eye, you look put together and ready to go almost anywhere with style. Not seeing anything vaguely provocative here. Sometimes what makes me a little self-conscious is just the fact that I put some thought into my outfit, as I live where casual and traditional reign. YLF has made me more comfortable with that. Well done!

Both looks are wonderful on you and neither looks revealing or sexy. The belt is not tightly cinched around your waist. The OTK boots blend with your outfits and look more like a pair of leggings than boots.

I see a bit of sexy here, but not from anything provocative or overt. What I see is someone who looks well put together and confident, and confidence is sexy. I think you look great!

Both outfits are great! Bravo for pushing a little outside your comfort zone. These outfits look true to your style, to me. The OTK boots are stunning. They look dark blue in the photo--is that true or an illusion?

I am glad to hear it isn't sexy. Not sure why I am so nervous about that. I mean, these were at work so I sure don't want to look sexy there but there is more to it than that!
But as I get older I am feeling so much better in myself. I have realized I have much more strength than I thought . It is kinda awesome! Yay to being 45 .

Sexing up my outer appearance does not match who I am on the interior. It is distressing to be seen as an object, for me anyway. I shoot for looking interesting and approachable.

You have done exactly that with these outfits. If we crossed paths at an event I would definitely stop to complement you on your style!

Well, your risks payed off because you look stunning in both outfits. Your boots are gorgeous. I too have felt similarly about OTK boots for a long time and don't own any despite having a very large wardrobe. Recently I have managed to break out of that mind set, primarily because I was exposed to a couple of women at work wearing at them in a fairly casual and relaxed manner. Now I really want a pair and am hoping to find one at a deep discount or get them the next season.

I love the boots and the belt and both outfits look fantastic. I totally relate to the self conscious feeling but remember as soon as you wear it, it becomes the new normal.
