I am liking the pointy toes versions that kkards and Tanya posted. It seems that designers have morphed the Vans into more dressy/girly versions now which is a sign they are sticking around at least for a season or 2. More of the sporty luxe trend it seems. I hope it continues.

I'm glad to hear they are still "in"! For whatever reason I never liked this kind of shoe when I was younger. I always felt silly in them. But I bought a pair of cheap knock-off Vans last year as an experiment and I ended up wearing them so much that I wore holes in the soles within a matter of months! I recently bought another pair with a kind of funky faux tapestry effect, but what I really want is the classic old-school checkerboard Vans.
