Slight style shift?

I realize looking at these pictures that they don't look all that different from my usual style but I find myself been gravitating for slightly more casual , childish and masculineish ( I can't believe my iPad believes that is a real word! Is it?) looks.
Obviously the pink scarf is girly ( although it has mustaches on it as well as lipsticks )
Not sure if it is just midwinter wanting to be comfy or something else .. I guess I will see how it develops!

2 is my starry night Batman shirt ( I also have a superman one )
3) legging are actually burgundy

Excuse the mess around me .. I am a pigpen.

These do look a bit more masculine than previous outfits, especially 2 and 3. I think many of us tend to go for a more casual cozy style in winter and some of that is a need for knits and some is what happens when you dress from the footwear up -- and need more rugged footwear.

I'd use the word "playful" over "childish." Suz may be right about the practicalities of winter dressing, though. How do you feel about the shift?

Jenn is right - you do look playful and it's great to have fun with fashion. I like #1 and #4 the best but all are really good. I like the photos with scarves so maybe add them to #2 and #3.

Suz - I am glad you see it too. I do think it has to do with the weather
Also been doing a lot of weights and feeling stronger so maybe that is oat of it too !
Thank you Cynthia- I felt great in that one except the darn pants grew over the day. They are already a bit big and by the end of the day I felt really sloppy. Too bad bc I really like them . Cozy Ponte fabric.
Jenn- that is a better way to frame it ! I think the plaid shirt and vest and high top sneakers in 3 made me feel a bit like the kids I work with yet I was so comfy and kind of high energy that day in that outfit! I am going with playful :-). I think I feel ok about the shift. I a, curious to see if it sticks or shifts further or if it is a January doldrums blip .

I told a fellow I work with that I am a slob and he said he couldn't imagine it bc I am a snappy dresser , I just laughed. Mess is my constant companion has been me since I was a kid and now I have a messy kid of my own! My mom must be laughing in heaven

These looks remind me of what I used to wear to uni (but you look much better). I think that may have been what you meant by childish? I see fresh, casual and youthful, rather than childish. I like them all, especially 1 and 2.

I really like #1. Playful is better than childish - I agree. Love the androgynous touches with the shoes!

I love the last and really like the direction with the t-shirts. These may be small tweaks, but they pack a lot of fresh punch. I don't know if they are masculine or childlike...maybe it's that you're enough grownup woman to balance that out.

It's funny, I look terrible in proper DMs. I don't think I have enough grown femininity to do it.

I would say that you look playful. I do not see masculine. 1 and 4 are my favorites but I love scarves.

I see great looks. They don't look childish or masculine to my eye. I like the word playful. Scarves are a beautiful accessory.
