Descriptions of your daily ensembles

sleeveless layering, white/off-white illusion, & boots sans tights

...and all in one outfit. I haven't switched my summer clothes for my winter ones yet so abrupt changes in weather present another dressing challenge. Yesterday, we had blustery winds and got three inches of rain. Very unlike us to get any rain let alone that much. I had to think fast to put together an outfit that might accommodate the weather. I didn't do such a good job of being appropriately dresses for the inclement weather but I think my experiment worked aesthetically. What do you think?

Cream boyfriend sweater - style & co.
patterned, v-neck, faux wrap dress (multicolored) - bcbg
light blue cami
dark brown knee-high boots - circra joan & david
necklace - from a fun store in Austin, Eliza Paige (for the Austinites)

Oh yay! Another outfit from Alecia. I am loving your new hairstyle and color. It's super chic! That color blue is so gorgeous on you, I LOVE the dress!

I have heard good things about Eliza Page. I need to get out there one of these days. They have some awesome looking cocktail rings that I want to check out. Are you ever coming back to Austin for a visit?

Ana, you SO need to get to Eliza Page. I spent half the day in there drooling over all sorts of gorgeous stuff. A lot of it was out of my price range, but not all of it. I really appreciate unique stuff that's made by local artisans, too. So I'm willing to pay a little more for that.

Thanks for the compliments about the hair. I love it, too. It does really make a difference in how my clothes read. Interesting how it can do that.

As for visiting Austin, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my husband will make it into South by Southwest again. And if he does, I'll definitely be coming out and I will definitely be getting in touch with the Austin YLFers to see if we could arrange getting together.

So pretty!
Hmm...I can feel an Austinite YLF visit to Eliza Page in the works. Alecia, I do hope you can visit during SXSW, how fun would that be?!

Love that dress! The pattern is similar to one at F21 I have been eyeing.

I can't keep my eyes off of that delicious print. Angie is so right, blues and brunettes are a match made in heaven.

you look fabulous! rocking outfit Alecia. I hope this doesn't offend you, but you look 15 years younger than when I first started lurking here a few months ago.

Awesome outfit and I love your hair...I will have to see if I can find an older post with a photo of your old hairstyle so I can see the change.

I will keep this outfit in mind as it looks like something i would love to copy! Thanks for the inspiration!

Alecia, you look wonderful and weather appropriate with boots and cardi. Love the new hair color!

Thanks so much everyone. I'm honored to be inspiration for someone, Susan. I should note that Hanna inspired to try a boyfriend cardi over a dress.

I will keep my fingers crossed that your husband gets into SXSW this year! It would be so fun to have another YLF meeting! It was a huge treat to meet San in real life. :D

Hi Alecia, I am late to this, but I have to tell you that I LOVE your new hair! You look so great as a brunette.
The outfit is fantastic!

KILLER.

Love it - from head to toe :0)......especially the head!

Woo hoo! The vaunted killer rating! Love it. Thanks, Angie.

Also, queenie, I forgot to add that I didn't take any offense. It does make me a little curious, though. How old do you think I looked before? Fifteen years off my real age would get me back to 16. :-) Not sure I want to look that young. Ha ha! (That being said, I readily admit that I dressed a little mature for my age. I've had this discussion before on the forums.)

Fabulous Alecia! I just can't get over how gorgeous the hair is. What does your husband think of the change?

Fab to infinity!

Shana, hubby loves the hair. He's known me with all different length and color hair and he seems to love them all. The only thing he doesn't want me to do is spike out the bottom of my hair in the back. He has a visceral reaction to that.

Yeah, Kyle! Thank you. You know, it means a lot to me to get the thumbs up from you.
