Skinnies on a curvy, sans tunic - yay or nay?

The question isn't so much can I wear skinnies without a tunic, but should I? Be honest, trusted friends, I can take it!

yay - you like fine, stop obsessing
nay - a tunic would be better, but it's good that you tried. And asked us first!

I completely agree with QM Couple ? on your shoes, if you dont mind...are they fairly well-padded and how is the toe box (narrow, etc) Ive been thinking about ordering them, but I need a wide toe/forefoot area.....

With skinnies on a curvy (and I am one, too), I look to see if the overall silhouette is weirdly wide at the hips compared to the narrow ankles, and whether the backside is too defined. I can't make these determinations from your photo because of the angle. So with that caveat, I think you look great and the pieces of the outfit are fab.

I'd wear 'em like that. You look good. I think the slightly oversized blouse helps balance them out. See my trouble with my electric blue skinnies. It took me a couple trys to get the right silhoutte on top.

OK I`ll be honest. I think nay. Not because you don't look good. You do. But I think that if you asked, you are doubting. If you are doubting, you are a bit uncomfortable, and so this is why.

Skinnies are so difficult to wear for anybody. You have done a great job accessorizing them and he angle of the photo is forgiving, but how do you feel when you walk?
Just my truthful opinion.

Looks great from what I can see in this picture. Usually when I ask this question I take pictures from different views (back included). I agree that the angle of this picture makes it difficult to asses without doubt....

I wear mine without a tunic almost exclusively and I carry some curves on my lower half. I second Anna's comment about the blouse being the right silhouette to carry this off. Too short or too tight a top might not work as well. Yay.

Yay from me, a fellow curvy who wears skinnies and doesn't care for tunics. I actually feel like tunics *add* too much visual volume to my hips and thighs.

From the front definitely yay, you look great! But this question is best answered with a rear view in the mix - since skinnies sans tunic means everyone will be looking at your bum.

I think you and your body look great, but I think that particular shirt is a style that wants to be longer, if that makes any sense.

Of course, I am so blinded by the fabness of your accessories (that bag! those shoes! that necklace!) that it's hard to say for sure!

Yay from me too! I'm glad Louise chimed in because I was remembering what she said in another thread about needing volume on top if the top wasn't long.

I'm particularly pleased you posted this as I would like to wear shorter tops with my skinnies and I need encouragement as I'm a bit scared about it too (I'm a pear).
