Sized up Bailey 44 column dress

Probably not going to get this bc I don't love the colors, but what do you think of the fit? It's an xl, so sized up quite a bit. As you know I don't do bodycon. Figured it was worth a try to see if I could get a looser fit with the xl. Does it work or is it just sloppy?

I like the fit very much. It does not look sloppy at all. Does it come in any other colours.?

Not at this anthro right now but you know they always make several colors every year.

I like the fit on you. I consider this body con though. It could be, that I have gotten so used to oversized fits that a tailored fit now looks body con to me.

I don't think these are bad colors on you either. But they're muted colors, they are not power colors and I think this type of dress might have a higher happiness factor in a wow, power color. (For example, my power colors are coral and teal.)

Yeah I know what you mean, Denise. It's not stretched at all though so I guess maybe psychologically it feels better to me. In the "correct" size it fits fine but I *feel* like a sausage.

It looks tailored, not especially body con to me, but yeah, I see what you mean about the colors. I think the fit is nice.

I think the fit is very flattering and bonus if it feels good. The soft colors are blending with Your coloring, though, the effect is very soft.

I think the fit is good and you've identified the issue--do you need this to fill a dress hole or do you want to hold out for a color that looks more vibrant on you. I think if it were even lighter it'd look better, like your flowy tops with cream and pastels, but this is maybe too mid-range. Though, it would look great with a topper in the orangey pink color.

I quite like the fit of this Diana and not body con in the true sense. I actually like the soft colors on you. Do you have toppers that work with this to give it more versatility?

Fit looks great but I agree, I think you can handle more vibrant colors. This one seems kind of washed out.

I voted nay for color but yay for fit - I size up in bodycon too which makes me feel more at ease.

I love the way this fits you -- and I really like how Angie described it; form-fitting. It definitely defines your curves, but without sucking to them. It's flattering but also looks comfortable and chic. I hope it comes out next in a color that you love! (I never thought about sizing up in a dress like this -- it's genius!)

Deborah, I find the color to be too low contrast on me, I think. Up close it's actually a more interesting pattern of pink/red/white micro stripes, but from a distance it all blurs together into a muddy tan color, which I dislike. Muddy or earthy colors do not make me happy. It's also oddly close (in value at least) to my skin tone. As unfrumped mentions above, I would prefer either a lighter or a darker overall color.

There's a b/w one I like at Nordies' but they don't seem to carry it in an XL. I might stalk ebay for one of the older Anthro ones though.
