I ...er...might have gone a little crazy with my Zara order. Forgive me, this is the first of a number of posts, and for this I must post and run...have to feed my step-daughter's kitties for her and then meet a friend before deluging you with kimono and other photos.

But here are two Zara jackets -- the one I tried first and the one I tried second. Same cut, same outfit -- different colour and pattern. Which one do you like best?

Yay for blue.
Nay for cream.

Wow, tough choice. I'm partial to blue but I really like the light color on you too. I think that one would be easier to pair with jeans. The blue one might be too close in color to your denim. Love them both though.

If it was the blue as ground but the pattern in 1 I would love it. I love the blue on you but the pinks etc don't do much for me.

The coral pinks in the cream and that orangey red suit you better.

I prefer the first one - the lighter one. I find the pattern just has more appeal and that it will look fab with many things.

They both look fantastic on you.
With this outfit, I prefer the cream. I like it better with the top you have chosen, to my eye seems a better balance of colour. I'm not as fond of your blue top with the blue jacket...but I know I would love it with a different top. There. I'm solidly on the fence...sort of...

I'm not a huge fan of florals (I just purged my only floral jacket) just so you know I think these fit well & look good but I just prefer the way you look in your other jackets - the leather, the denim etc. I'd be happier if the first print was on the blue background too.

The white pants are swaying mt toward the white, but with darker pants, i prefer blue.

Independently, i like the blue because i think the flower print is more sophisticated.

You just look great to fine in everything, but I'm not loving either pattern for you. I hope I'm not being a drip.

I like the dark blue color, per se, for you, but the large floral doesn't seem "you".
The lighter jacket with smaller floral is more in scale, but it just seems too ditzy or something for the type of style thing you've got going on. I think it's totally fine and wearable and no fashion crime or anything, just doesn't really scream out that it's a wardrobe upgrade. Of course, heed the source--I struggle with differentiating between what's fresh and trendy and all that vs. not.

I would like it better without the pattern mixing, to just use it with white and solid colors, to let it just be itself, floral. So than might correct my jaundiced eye.

Team blue here, though would prefer it with a different top. The color is great and the scale of the print is better to my eye. You wear all of these colors so well, Suz.

Suz, they both look VERY good on you. If you look at the photos you can see that both do different things for your complexion (but both good). I LOVE the blue one. It really highlight your fair skin and hair. The blue IMHO is flattering beyond belief.

I like them both, but my preference is for the blue. The colors are rich and deep and look fantastic with your white pants, skin tone and hair color.

Both look great on you, but I prefer the Oriental print of the cream one to the more old-fashioned cabbage rose look of the blue. The color of the blue one is really pretty on you, though.

Wow! Thank you so much everyone for humouring me with this little experiment. It is SO interesting how divided the opinions are. I have not yet decided to keep either, by the way. So more photos coming up in another post!!

ETA: I should probably have noted that it was a sunny day when I was wearing the cream, and miserably dark and cloudy when I took pics of the blue. So although the indoor lighting was the same, the overall ambient light is different. FWIW.

I'm not saying anything! I have a preference, but it's heavily tainted by my poison eye for florals. So, I'm eagerly awaiting Angie's take, and I'll use it to help train my (poison) eyes

I like them both! I think the blue one has oriental print as well and not an old-fashioned cabbage roses (the are chrysanthemums actually and quite pretty). I am really torn but if I have to choose (do I need to?) then maybe blue - because the pattern has bigger impact and you rock blues of all kinds!
This is a tough one, Suz! Which one makes you happier?

This is kind of hard. Definitely the blue with the blue bag, so I covered up the bag with my hand. Still like the blue better, but there is something going on with the cream that makes your complexion rosy and fresh. I think I would like it better with a mint or blush T and a faded boyfriend jean.

I think it probably doesn't really work with either jacket, Anna -- I was experimenting a bit. But also -- that top photographs horribly. It doesn't really look the way it does in the pics. So it might be a bit better IRL.

For me, the blue by a mile!!! Your complexion, eyes and hair look magnificent against blue and I love how the floral print is reminiscent of an Oriental fabric.

Have you tried it on top of your blue sheath?

The colors in the cream jacket pick up the pink in your cheeks and lips beautifully, and I think it would give you more variety of outfits to pair it with during the summer, plus it looks like summer! And the cream jacket looks like a more modern cut.

Or you could just keep both.
