Shopping part 2 - dresses and skirt

Here are some more items from my recent shopping. I found what I think are some fab dresses at Marshalls, and a skirt at Talbots, that I would like feedback on.

1. Houndstooth dress/tunic. I am infatuated with this dress, so I really hope it gets approval here. It's a sleeveless knit with an inexplicably fun collar. I would wear it over jeans or leggings, I think it's too short for me to wear alone.

2. Flower print sack dress. I am finally jumping on the sack dress bandwagon. I love the color, print, and shiny texture of this dress. Do you think I can pull this off?

3. Purple sheath. This one I'm least sure about. I think it's a ponte knit, which I want to try, and I like the roses around the neckline. Thoughts?

4. Bicycle-print skirt. I found this on the sale rack at Talbots. I think it's incredibly cute, but wonder if it's too preppy-cutesy for me....I think I could toughen it up in the right outfit, though. It's a new style for me - I like the pleat in the front. What do you think? The photos with the t-shirt tucked in are to show the fit around the waist, I wouldn't wear it like that. The final picture is a close-up so you can see the bicycles, but note that the colors are off in this photo because of the flash.

LOVE the houndstooth dress and purple sheath. The flower print sack dress looks awesome on you, but it's a bit more summery in my opinion. I really like it, though. Bike print skirt is adorable and it's so your style. You just need to figure out how to style it and I think it will look great.

I like everything except the skirt. It looks a bit frumpy to me. Perhaps if you tried it with a moto jacket?

medusa, I tried on a tunic dress very similar to the houndstooth dress at Marshalls today! I just had to try on because of the neckline. Unfortunately, this one had the dreaded cap sleeves. It even had pockets at the side seams. And it was on sale! Somehow the cap sleeves just didn't look too hot I also saw the blue dress in black and didn't think it would look too great but you are making me change my mind :-D.

On to YOUR shopping trip I love everything on you, especially the houndstooth dress. I am very eager to see how you style the bicycle skirt. I could see it with your moto jacket, a long sleeved tee and star ling boots.

Love the sack dress and he purple frock too. Not wild about the ditsy floral skirt but Bella makes a good point.

I love the hounds tooth tunic and the purple dress, I think you can style the skirt and make it work. However I'm unsure of the second tunic , from the side the back hangs lower than the front.

The houndstooth tunic is stellar, I love it on you! Plus, I love your Ana Wintour haircut/pageboy bob. So chic! I agree with Angie about the skirt, but there's nothing wrong with it fit wise, it's just my personal taste speaking, so if you like it a lot, I say keep it.
