I wondered what you thought about this shirt? I've a smart drinks do next week for work and I was thinking with navy trousers that are skinny ish fit and finish just above my ankles. The blue colour looks good, but I'm wondering if the quantity of sheer fabric would overwhelm me my small frame.

Lovely top. Like Ledonna said you'd need to try it on and take photos. It would also depend how long it is on you.

I like the idea of this top. Being short myself, I would have to try it to see how long it is and how it pairs with the trousers you have. It is hard to figure out proportions when looking at a photo of a tall model!

I don't think it would be the sheer parts that are overwhelming (your skin showing through could add structure actually). But I agree with the others that it would depend more on how long and voluminous the shirt is on you. I love it in the photos!

Ooh, love the fabric Jane! I think as long as you get the sizing right and there isn't masses of volume, then it's going to look fab.

Thank you for your encouragement on this piece.

I thought I had moved on from it, because it is quite a lot of fabric, but reading your comments, my enthusiam has returned! It's worth pushing the boundaries I think sometimes - it would be a very unusual piece to be seen in the environment within which I work.

I also wondered if it was a bit 80s.

JamC, the models in this store are always so tall!

Inge, yes I thought so that the skin would add something. But I'm very compact on top and it may be that my shoulders are too small. That said, I like Smitties idea of it with silver and with a necklace or Earings, I may be able to balance it. Angie, I like the idea of black cropped pants and booties.

So, I've not been able to try on this week and so I may buy it online and return if it doesn't work.
