Does this work with the ATL jacket? Would it work better with a white jacket?

Also, those are my pinkish-metallic flats. They are not quite as comfy as my Me-too's, but what do you think of the color?

This turquoise-and-white top looks better with a white jacket, as worn at Easter, but it was chilly and rainy, so I went with the black BR jacket, which YLF told me was a bit on the boxy side. It fits well, is very good quality wool, and is super comfortable, so I have kept it anyway. I don't know if tailoring it would make it fit any better. Sometimes I want to wear something that's not so form-fitting, I guess? What do you think?

I wore silver hoop earrings with this - you can't see them. Usually I wear a silver necklace but it was hot and I felt like being different!

Saturday: to walk around open studios all day long...

I wish I had duplicated this top in another color. I have gotten so much wear out of it. I love the style of it. I am again wearing hoop earrings (gold ones). I was hoping to try on necklaces at a local studio nearby.... which I did.... (see below!)

This probably would've worked even better with my white pleather jacket, but it was cloudy and overcast and I am trying to get wear out of everything in my closet, so I opted for the black Nanette Lapore jacket instead. Not shown: I tied a black-and-white scarf around my neck (it was pretty chilly out).

The ATL jacket does work.

KILLER gold jacket. Nice for Autumn too. Love the daytime sparkle. Glad someone is sporting that trend :0) I think that Niva may have just bought the same jacket? I really like the pink flats too.

KILLER Anthro jacket. It looks arty and super fun.

LOVE you in bright turquoise. One of your best Summer colours! The teal wrap top is also very pretty with the black jacket. You can go wholesale on black jackets! You have at least 5!

Eek, I have 8 black jackets; I had 9 but recently culled out an H&M swing jacket that I wasn't wearing enough. The problem is I keep looking for the elusive perfect fitting 3-season wool jacket to upgrade the BR one. I have:

1) BR short sleeve 3-season wool jacket - which I wear quite frequently.

2) BR long-sleeve 3-season wool jacket - on the boxy side; would like to replace with something better fitting but same material.

3) Trendy BR ponte knit jacket - which goes with a pencil skirt. It's the only black jacket I own that is part of a suit!

4) Nanette Lapore jacket - it's not lined so it's usefulness is less. Really only good for spring weather, around 60 degrees.

5) Paris jacket with the white bow

6) AT velvet jacket

7) AT 3/4 sleeve tweed jacket

8) Cropped "tuxedo" style jacket - was very inexpensive, and not very well made; the material makes me sweat and itch. I got this to see if I liked the style enough to invest in it. I'm still not sure I do! I think it will go out of style too quickly.

I'm not counting my black and white patterned AT jacket in there!

If I was going to cull, I'd cull out 8 and 4, upgrade #2, and keep all the rest... each has it's place in my wardrobe (some good for work, some for special occasions, some for cold weather some for warm, etc).... so that would still be 6 black jackets. Still too much?

Love all the looks, your favorite is also mine. You do wear those cropped jackets so well, I find them to also be so easy and flattering to wear.
The shape of that Nanette L jacket is perfect for you. How was open studios?

Shiny - great week as always. I love the teal top, the blue cardi - so refreshing, the new necklace, and the anthropologie white jacket with black detail. Those are my favorites but everything works so well.

Shiny, great week! I think the ATL gold jacket is my favorite, along with turquoise and yellow. Like Jean mentioned, you wear cropped jackets and straight leg jeans incredibly well.

Even though you've mentioned you need a haircut, I noticed your hair looks really good now.

I'm glad you're enjoying your new Anthro jacket. How is the fit and how is it wearing?

Shiny, I LOVE the striped top on you - it goes GREAT with the watch also. I wanna see a close up of the teal shirt & necklace though. Excited for you on the new necklace. What are your 3 ways though? Long, doubled up, what is your 3rd? Bracelet or lariat look or with a pendant or something else?? Do tell! It's nice to see you in flats, I wear them a lot on the weekends but always feel more casual when I do. So glad you post pics!

GG - open studios was great! We hit the studios within walking distance of our house, which is always fun (get to know the neighbors!).

Lena - the Anthro jacket fits really well, and it's very comfy too! A good buy - just throw on a solid bright color knit top and I'm good to go; the jacket does all the work.

Shell and Lena - trust me, my hair needs some attention. It's driving me crazy lately. It's been two months! It looks good for about 5 minutes after combing it for my pic, then it goes all horrible on me. I am craving to go shorter for the summer, but whatever I do, I want to be able to wear headbands on the beach - which is like pulling it back with sunglasses!

Jewelrygirl - the third way is to wear it wrapped twice but with the shorter layer more like a choker, does that make sense? The clasp on this is really nice quality; I loved that about this necklace. That makes it easier to shorten it, and play around with the length, if you know what I mean!

Shiny I saved looking at your pics till I got home so I could have an unhurried look and enjoy them properly. They did not dissapoint!! I see why you love the pleated BR top from Saturday - its great!! I really love the turquoise on you as well too!
