So, this jacket used to be a quasi-trapeze silhouette, but i didn't love it. so, i decided to make it into a more fitted cropped version with the pin. Ingenious or lame?

So, this qualifies as one of my least favorite outfits ever! Sweater was too short and quite itchy. Shoes felt clunky all day. Pants were wet all day. Not a good day!

My jammies! This is a shirt my fiances mom got for me on a trip she went on a couple years ago. I didn't have that heart to tell her that I'm not 13 or emo. But, it is comfy at makes for great loungewear. And, of course, had to showcase my precious little christmas tree! i thought it was a cute touch to have a shoe topper instead of a star. and bows, not ornaments, so kitties dont go wild.

I had my photographer available for this shot, and he really wanted everyone to appreciate the great moment he captured at the bottom right portion of the photo. I thought this outfit was appropriately artsy, as we went to a paint-your-own-pottery place that afternoon. and i wanted to try out my new online purchases from tulle. do we like?

Shell you have some great looks there. I have been living in jeans as well lately, so its great inspiration to see someone rock so many different looks with jeans!

I really like the straight leg jeans on you, they look great. The belted shirt & cardi combo you wear with it looks great too!!

Another fave is the (pink? red?) plaid top you are wearing under the blue cardi. Those colours and styles look awesome together!!!

That mustard coloured jacket is great on you as well. The colour really lights up your face and hair.

I know what you mean about the docs outfit feeling clunky. I feel that way too if I wear them under jeans so they are basically hidden except for the toe. Maybe you could experiment wearing them above jeans or with skirt/dresses? I'd look forward to seeing those pics for sure!!!

Once again you are the master of color. I especially love the gold and orangey red of your artsy outfit. The straight legs are fab on you.
I like your creativity with the plaid jacket and pin, but it looks like it might be pulling a bit tight in the picture. Did you shorten the jacket?

I'm another fan of the straight-legged jeans on you, you look fantastic. And I must say that no one looks better in pink than you! Wow!!
(although I love that colour green - the Express cami - a lot on you as well).

The pin is not lame at all, you always come up with such sassy and smart solutions. (just look at that shoe topper in your Christmas tree!-)

I don't think the sweater was all that short, but I understand how you feel: I hate itchy sweaters and tops too, it can really drive you crazy.

Glad to hear the straight leg jeans are keepers. I guess my eye has yet to adjust to them, but I'm liking them more and more.

So, about the wedding plans...they're going pretty well so far. We haven't quite decided on a reception hall, but we're pretty certain about the church. It's getting close to the one-year-out mark, so I think we'd better start making some concrete plans!

My dress is coming along nicely. I've changed my plans a bit along the way, but I like the way it's unfolding. I've finished my "practice version". I'd share pictures, but it doesn't have the skirt on it anymore, so, that wouldn't work so well But, I can describe it...

-There is a "base layer" that is basically a knee-length fitted dress w/ a sweetheart neckline.

-Attached to it will be a tulle skirt, simliar to this, but much less poofy: http://www.bravotv.com/widgets.....nal_16.jpg

- There will be a skirt over the tulle for the ceremony. Something softer and less 80's. But the skirt can be removed to show the tulle layer for the reception.

i'm wondering if it's "a lotta look", but it can always be edited down. so, i guess i'm going for big and gaudy at this point, but it wouldn't be a shelly creation if i didnt I always tell people shopping for me for xmas and such that if they find items that are just a notch below gaudy, they're perfect for me!

Your dress sounds beautiful. I really like your outfits, too. The straight leg jeans are great. I love your pink cardi, especially with the belt under - makes your waist look so tiny. I also think the red/orange outfit was great, also great colors on you.

Shell - I've missed "seeing" you on the forum and was wondering what you were up to. Sounds like you've been busy with wedding outfit plans - congratulations. Those are some HOT pink shoes! I love the outfits you posted. My hands down favorite is the 12/10 one with the pink cardi, ruffled blouse, and black belt. And what a cute Christmas tree - leave it to you to come up with some super creative and cute like the shoe topper! Happy holidays.
