This is the first time i've worn this skirt with a tucked in shirt. does this qualify as a pencil skirt? i think it's technically considered a trumpet skirt, though for some reason i have always called it a "tulip skirt". i dunno what it's called, but i always thought of it as my alternative to the pencil skirt.

it has a dopey pocket flap on the front w/ that odd gold button - yeah, not even a real pocket...so im thinking i might just get rid of the pocket flap altogether.

in the morning i had my surveying class, which consisted of walking around the grass all morning and measuring elevations. so, out come the dr. martens! but for work i classed it up a little with the pumps and vest. i think it was a successful transition.

i'm ambivalent about this look. this is one of those crazy sweater vest/shirt combos that's just one piece. i haven't worn it in awhile, so thought i'd try it out. the earrings didn't stay in long - about two seconds after i tried answering my phone at work.

Shell - The ruffled shirt with the skirt looks gorgeous especially with the green sweater! I also think you did a great job transitioning your Thursday outfit from job site to work. I think that Friday's top looks good on you and made a good outfit. Have you ever tried belting it?

Your fall outfits are very flattering on you. The long strand of pearls is beautiful. I love these fall colors on you. You look great in the skirt and ruffled blouse too.

Hard to pick a favorite -- an inspirational week as always. However, Saturday's outfit, with the tunic, is fantastic. I like Friday a lot, too!

It's hard to pick a favorite, Shell, all your outfits are lovely. I think I like the thursday afternoon one: I really like how the vest transformed the whole look. I really like the interesting lines with pearls and a variety of necklines (cami, sweater, vest). And love the yellow shoes. You're so good with color.

Another great week! Angie commented on what stood out to me the most: pink is so pretty on you! It makes your cheeks glow. The tunic was also a great look, and I did like the shirt/sweater combo. My favorite thing was the long string of knotted pearls; you made those work with a great variety of looks!

i just realized how often i did the knotted pearl thing this week! i may have to retire that look for a few days i just have to dig deeper into my jewelry box!

Great outfits as always, Shell! I particularly like the navy boyfriend cardigan with the gold necklace- the colours look great together. Nice job on your transitional outfits on the Thursday as well! You look great in vests.
