Thanks Lesley for the update. It looked great on you! I've had mixed emotions about that Gap dress but I've had such a hard time finding anything at all that I was willing to settle. I agree that the quality is not that superb - it's not a really soft & squishy jersey. I also had to size up to accommodate the boobage but that made the dress a tad bit long for me (just below knee). But I liked the color and this was one of the only empire cuts that I've tried that didn't make me look pregnant.
Shoot, I was just at the outlets again this past Friday but just popped in on the way back from the beach to get some shorts for my son. I didn't have a chance to go into the BR outlet. I will definitely check it out next time I am at the outlets.
Well, let me throw a tip back at you - the purple gap dress is almost an exact copy of a J. Crew dress from last summer. I actually saw the J Crew version at the outlet (yeah, I was only supposed to be looking at the Crew Cuts stuff but just happened to end up in the ladies section as well:)- they had it in a few colors (I remember black & lilac). The quality was way better than the GAP version but it was super long on me - I'll need to download the pics from my camera so I can post. Anyway, take a look if you have a J crew outlet nearby.
