Looking for a canvas tote to take to the playground and around town.

Oh, I love the first one! But, is that a price point at which you're comfortable taking that tote to the playground?

I bought a cute elephant print canvas tote for my friend whose son is almost 2. It was very reasonably priced, and they had several other prints available. I'll see if I can dig up the brand.

They're certainly not as fashionable as the first one you linked, but they are machine washable and budget friendly. My friend says hers is holding up well.

I like the first one best, too:)

Target also has some very cute totes this summer and at a price that if it gets grubby on the playground, you won't be too sad:)

Also, I got a really nice straw-looking tote at Eddie Bauer that I am loving right now. I'm not seeing it on their site right now, but a straw tote is pretty durable and so summery.

Good grief...at Target prices I could get more than one! Now look what you guys have started!

Just to clarify, my needs for a "playground-friendly" tote:
1. machine washable preferred
2. carry 3 water bottles
3. snacks
4. sunscreen/bug spray
5. diaper/wipes
6. phone
7. wallet
8. 3 pairs of sunglasses
9. sun hats

I think I might need a sherpa, too.

I just went through Target's website quickly and found the following...take the list with a grain of salt as I couldn't figure out sizes on some of them, and didn't always pay attention to fabric! Let me know if any jump out at you though (or if you've seen any in person). I will stop by Target directly, as I don't want any ordering surprises.

I love the zebra one.
There's also this one from Loft that has sequin stripes (I think Target also hsa some similar styles)

Whoa, that's a good price, Chewy!!

Bottom line is that although this tote needs to be hard working, I don't want it to look grubby...I'd like to step up my summer tote look.

I love the first one with the birds but I would go with a Target bag for a summer tote that will get a pounding.

I need to find a purse pattern and make up my own!

I still love the Fossil one the best, but I just can't see dumping water bottles, etc in it...

I'll keep you guys posted...I'm determined to find a cute summer playground tote!
