Here are my first full week of outfits since my haircut. I'm still figuring it out! It always takes me several tries to get the style right.
My favorite outfit of the week was either Thursday or Sunday. I didn't realize till today that purple was definitely the theme!

A great week. My favorite is Thursday but you really do look great all week. I, too, think your hair is very pretty.

By the way, I was watching Austin City Limits the other day with Sarah McLachlan. She reminded me a lot of of you, which I hope you take as a compliment. I love her music, persona, and think she's beautiful!

Thanks for the compliment, LeeH. I love that blouse, too. It's one of the items both Ana and Patience encouraged me to try, and I'm so glad they did - I love it too!
Thanks Alecia! A lot of people think I look similar to Sarah McLachlan (I've also heard Sarah Evans). In fact, in college I played a prank and uploaded a photo of "me" (Sarah M.) and a lot of my friends thought it was really me.
And isn't ACL fun? I live here and still haven't been, though. Isn't that the way it always is?

Sarah, you look so beautiful all week! My favorite is the first outfit with the polka-dot top, but your Sunday outfit has inspired me to try a print with my grey pinstripe Editor pants. The purple floral brings them into spring. I love it.

Sarah, great week! My favorites are Tuesday and Wed, I really like you in those colors. And polka dots blouse is terrific - I probably can't pull off something with big dots like this, so I'm going to wear it vicariously through you I also like how you used a wide white belt on Tuesday.

Thursday outfit is gorgeous, too.

Your haircut is looking great. Are you going to get thicker bangs next time?

Lena, I went in on Saturday and had more bangs cut, so they are thicker in the Sunday photo. I'm gradually easing into this whole bang thing. Would you recommend I go even thicker?

Another lass who rocks purple! Thursday is my favourite and Tuesday comes a close second. Thursday is KILLER. But you look beautiful all week, Sarah. Love the new haircut. It’s very sophisticated. Does hubby like it too?

Did you take the first lot of pictures in a tilted mirror, or do something different when you took the photo? Your body type looks different in the first three outfits, than it does in the last one. It’s interesting! Or am I imagining things?

Fabulous week! The polka-dot top is adorable, but my favorite is your Thursday work outfit. I love the way staying with all the same colors up top really sharpened the outfit, and the casual slouchy way you double-draped the pearls. Very classy, classic and yet still very modern.

Wow Sarah you look fantastic in every outfit. I also favor the polkadot outfit. I prefer the look of a belted shirt worn under a cardigan--and you do it very well. Your legs look a mile long in every shot.

You must be very proud of your weight loss accomplishment! Are you going to do a before and after post on your blog?

Thank you everyone! Nicole, I'm going to do a before after story once I lose these last few pounds. My sister did a story on me after my first 30 pound weight loss, so we definitely want to write a part two when I'm done.
Angie, I take my photos with my full length mirror M-F since my husband leaves before me and gets home considerably later than I do. He takes photos for me on the weekends. So the Sunday photo is the most accurate. I need to find a bigger mirror and re-arrange my room so I have room to take these self photos as accurately as possible.
He does love the bangs, btw. He actually likes my adventurous side when it comes to my hair.
I'm very proud of Thursday's outfit. I was flipping through the latest JCrew catalog thinking "ooh, I want this, and this, and this" and then I realized I had most of the pieces already - just in different colors. So I created this and ended up loving it. The shell is gold, the cardi baby pink, and the belt is taupe. The black skirt is from Macys (INC) and it fits me like a glove. It's jersey and higher waisted, which is new for me, but I love it.
And purple is my favorite color!!

It’s so interesting how the pictures in the mirror that you take yourself make you look so much taller.

Sarah, Thursday’s outfit was a win all round - people are gushing about it! A longer skirt makes a huge difference. I hope you see that too

Now that I think about it, I think I'm actually somewhere between the two photo heights. My husband is much taller than me, and he does take the photos "over my head". Ha. I'm nearly 5'7".
