Sarah P: Last week

Here are my looks from this past week!

Looks 1 - 3 leave me scratching my head. I'm not sure I like the dress length on either of these. Bryan isn't thrilled with any of them either.
These are also my only pair of boots (other than rain boots) so this is definitely a big hole in my wardrobe.

Have you tried any of those dresses with jeans- as a tunic? If you belt them, it might be a better look for you. I have had to do this with some of my dresses, too- belt and wear with jeans. I love outfit#4- great look.

I absolutely love your jacket in #4!

Honestly, I think skirts with a longer hemline/pencil silhouette are perfect on you, and the shorter hemlines just aren't as flattering on you. Your legs look longer in the longer hemline. Try Chewy's suggestion to wear them as a tunic.

Sarah- I love that jacket- you look great in it!
My thought on the pink dress was that it needed a softer color hose and boots. Perhaps try brown or grey? It would also be cute with denim skinnies and a cute jacket or sweater and belt.

Sarah, I agree with Cricket - I like you in a slightly longer hemline because it balances your proportions better. I love that shade of fuschia on you and I agree with queenie - that opaque hose looks awfully dark in contrast with the dress. Maybe try it with your nude fishnets? My favorites are 4 and 6 - that tweed jacket is to die for!!!

I really like looks four through to six. I have a dress quite similar to the first one with long sleeves, I like to wear a long scarf to create a vertical line elongating my body

A longer necklace would probably do the same trick. Is this something you would consider?

With the second dress I would add a long necklace with large black stones for the same effect.

Sarah, I thought that the dress in #1 was a bit short for you. I liked all the other looks, though - the dresses in #2 & 3 are a bit longer and look good to me. I just looooove #4, you look fantastic!

Sarah!

I LOVE looks 4 to 6. In fact #4 and #6 score KILLER ratings. I think that the heels might have something to do with it. You wear high heels VERY well :0)

I bet frocks 1 to 3 will look perfect over skinnies and with heels. They all seem just a tad too short to wear on their own with flats.

Hmmm, I just relooked at frock #3 and it might be long enough to wear as is, but it’s hard to see from the picture. I hope this makes sense :0)

I also adore looks 4-6, they are all amazing! I think that the issue with the dresses might be that they are bit too short. n How about trying to wer them as tunics instead?

Thanks for your comments! I think I can wear the sweater dress over jeans, but I'm having a hard time picturing the pink dress over jeans. I do have black skinnies, would that work or would it be too harsh like the black leggings/boots combo?
I also just purchased two pair of grey boots so that's a new option I could try.
What is the verdict on outfit number five? I'm thinking I need some darker wash skinnies. I can also wear my cropped leather jacket over the top to add waist definition.

Sarah- I thought outfit 5 was cute and casual. A good run-around-town outfit. A cropped jacket would definitely spice it up a bit when you want a bit more pizazz.

I love your outfits, Sarah! I'd like to see the dresses over skinnies. Maybe you can bring them to Patience's house on Friday and we can take some more detailed photos when we are photographing Patience. Then we can post them here to evaluate.

Outfit 5 is very cute! You could also try that blouse over black skinnies, or try tucking it into a denim pencil skirt with hose and boots for a slightly "dressier" look.
