Sarah P Closet Cleanout Help (Part One)

Hi Everybody!

I went to Sarah P's (sarbear1121) house yesterday so we could go through her stuff and clean out her closet. I took photos of most of the things she had (we tried not to photograph the stuff you all had already seen and approved of). We put them into three categories: Keep, Keep until you can find a replacement, and Not Sure--Need YLF Opinions. The rest we got rid of.

So here are the photos. Sorry I had to post individual links, I can't figure out a way that I can post an album without access to all my other photos.

This first post will be things that we decided to keep. Any feedback/opinions would be appreciated. If you disagree with our decisions about the items, it would be great to hear that, too. Multiple opinions are always good to have. So here goes.

I really like everything you kept. I LOVE the Tahari dress and the giraffe print top. The only one I'm not sure about is the BR lace top, I can't picture that being very versatile, but it's a cute top.

You look great in browns and that bright yellow, Sarah! You wear warm colors well; perhaps that's why your giraffe print top is so fab on you. The only piece I had doubts about was the teal blazer; with those pockets, do you feel it adds bulk and attention to your lower half? I have pearish tendencies myself and always worry about the placement of details like that.

LOVE what you have. What a great project. I too have some questions about the teal jacket. Also the color doesn't seem to pop as much on you as the other stuff, maybe it will perk up depending on what you wear with it?

I think we discussed this teal blazer (correct me if I'm wrong, Sarah). Sarah is considering this blazer, in Sweet Papaya or Honey Glaze:

Patience and I both saw her in this jacket and it looked really good. If she does pick this up, she might end up wearing it more than the teal blazer, and then maybe she will just get rid of the teal one.

I agree with all your keeps, with one exception...the purple satin wrap top. Part of my reservation is personal (I'm not a big fan of satin or anything shiny--I think it adds pounds)--but I"m also not feeling those pleats at the bottom of the top.

But I like everthing else--especially the Tahari dress!

First of all Sarah, I adore your deliciously divine dimples! I don’t ever want to see a picture of you FAR away again! It’s such a waste of pretty you! And those straight leg jeans are AMAZING! (Can you tell I’m excited!)

Okay, I’ve calmed down. The clothes you have kept are all GREAT. I like the teal blazer. I can see it with a bright purple scarf and yellow handbag for Autumn. You also wear white really well. Well done lasses!

Thank you everyone! I had so much fun with Ana - and I'm learning a lot about good vs. great. It helps that some of what I already have will work for me through the fall. Come late winter I'm sure most will be too big anyway. (Yay?)
And Angie, I love my jeans. I wore them today and I felt FABulous. And thank you for your tips on the teal jacket. I actually have a purple scarf!
And just for you I'll try to get my husband to take more photos for me.
