Not very inspiring pictures but I did want to post them after chatting about hair in a previous thread. My hair seems to be more wavy than curly. I hope it looks better as I get more comfortable with the products and technique.
Today I went to a sewing expo with several hundred other like minded people. I got out the flowy cardigan that I had forgotten about until Angie wrote her blog on the style. It was fun to wear and a friend commented that I walk with such grace. I attribute alot of that to the flowy cardi.

San, you look fantastic! Your outfit is very elegant (I just saw that cciele used the same word - it was the first thing that came to my heard when I saw the picture) and you look very comfortable in it. I really like the new hairdo. Did you style it yourself or is it still from your appointment?

I thought you had all seen my face before. I don't always show it because the light in my bathroom is extremely bright. We put in the brightest light bulbs and fixtures possible to try to ward of the winter blues here in the PNW. The bright lights are not kind in photographs.
I think I got the cardigan at Nordstroms several months ago.
The jeans are the COH Hutton. This is the first time I wore them and they were not comfortable on my body because they are a higher rise which pulled them up in the crotch which is not something I like in a pair of jeans! I have very odd fit issues, I think.
I washed all the product out of my hair and I will try again today. I see I need more fringe on the forehead. I have a great hair stylist now who tells it like it is, and says I need whispy bangs to balance my face.

Wow, San, I am in love with your new 'do!!! I must've missed the latest... what exactly did you have done? Did you get the highlights? Or did you get a glaze or something? I love the color - sooo flattering on you! I recall you had blonder hair before? What is this shade called? (I'm thinking of going darker after this summer is over, but I can't go brunette... this is closer to what I was imagining.) DETAILS!! I want Details!

And the cut! With the waves!!! What do you have to do to get it to wave like that?? Is it difficult? I'm in love with this... and I especially like how short you went. You have such delicate features overall (not just your facial features but your rocking body too), the shorter cut is so flattering for your overall proportions, know what I mean?

Are your eyes green or brown? I can't tell. I can't wait to see what Angie comes up with for specs!

OMG you guys are so nice. I will go through my day on cloud nine after all of these compliments.
I got a brand new hairstylist and she said we must go a little darker with your hair because I cannot see your features. This gal tells it like it is. She says my face is shaped like a pear so I should have bangs that go out a little farther towards the side of my head. She says I have one ear that sticks out too far and so must style so to disguise that. She also said I should enhance my eyebrows out towards the sides. She is so right and it doesn't hurt my feelings since she is doing her job.
I went to GJ for years and they just run you through like a herd so it is refreshing to have a stylist who actually looks at me as an individual.
Shiny I will have to ask her about the color. It is darker and also has foil highlights.
Thanks for the compliments. I was totally blown away by them. I actually was afraid I had posted pictures that were not flattering. You guys are sweet.

San, I saw the picture of your hair last night but didn't have time to post. I just wanted to add that it is a GREAT cut. You have found a keeper of a stylist, I think. The style is fresh and easy and super flattering. I love it.

San, I'm a bit late here but let me also join your brigade of admirers! You are absolutely beautiful! I love your hair, and WOW you have a rockin' bod. I am so impressed. For some reason, I'd always pictured you as a brunette, though. I wonder why? Your hair is actually similar to mine in texture and cut, though yours is a couple of inches shorter, and of course you have a fringe.

Yes I am much happier with not trying to straighten my hair. The heat from the blow dryer makes my hair lose it's body and go straight, limp, flat and unmanagable, like straw. This is one of the reasons I was considering going grey, because I was paying so much money for hair that looked like a pile of **** all the time. So far with this new do I am mostly letting it dry naturally, but with a little help from a difuser on a blowdryer.
ANGIE!!!! You gave me the "killer" rating!!! Wahoo. I'm doing the happy dance!! I thought it was never going to happen, BUT I think I am getting an inkling of my personal style coming through.
I love this place. Talk about a great community.
Ele, I have heard on the forum before this that I seem like a brunette for some reason. I think that is funny that people conjure up my image with dark hair. Now if my hair looks one fraction as good as yours does I will be ecstatic!
Shiny my eye color is like hazel. Same as yours, right? It will be so fun to see where Angie leads me in choosing glasses. I trust her opinion absolutely!
