San channeling a French actress

Ah ha ha ha.
After the discusion this morning of the alluring French actresses, I decided to try to copy one from memory, and what I have to work with. In case you missed it Tara had posted a picture of the beautiful Ines de la Fressange. That's a pretty tough call, but at least it drove me to wear a white shirt and get out of my box a little bit!
Here is the picture that Tara posted. This actress and I both have boyish figures so I felt a kinship with her. It ends there though! She is gorgeous.

San, you look great, and your hair is fantastic!

BTW, Ines de la Fressange is indeed a model, not an actress (this of course does not detract from her breathtakingness):

Wow, just saw this picture for the first time tonight. You look terrific and I especially love the fact that you've let the clothes, great hair and fantastic figure speak for themselves without adding lots of makeup or accessories. Honestly, I think you could easily be Parisienne in that photo.

Oh Mac, you are so nice, thankyou for such a compliment. I always thought that to be dressed we had to go all out with all of the accessories. I guess that comes from being a child in the 60's when women wore matching necklace, earrings, and bracelets. I am just now learning that being a minimilist can also be a style. In fact Angie told me that and it made a huge impact on the way of looking at style for this 55 year old. Don't we just love Angie's blog and forum.

P.S. I am embarrassed to even open the links now. How silly of me to compare myself to a French actress. I was only joking but it did make me see, just like you said, going with out all of the makeup and jewelry, and having kind of an edge can work too.
