rose gold trend?

So, I've seen a couple of editorial type things where people say rose gold is a trend for spring/summer - e.g., sandals in shiny rose gold.

The season is a way off, judging by the weather reports, but I don't see it. However, I do have a pair of oxfords that I call copper, that could be considered rose gold (going by pics).

Should I do them one more season? What do y'all think? Does rose gold interest you?

Oh and right, no, shiny metallic shoes like this are not my style at all. But *whatever*

Rose gold has been kind of a thing in jewelry for a couple of years. It seemed to move to handbags last year. I could see wearing rose gold sandals but maybe not super shiny boots or oxfords. Why not with the coppery gold ... Mix up some orange and light blue denim...do you wear jumpsuits?

I know what you mean- I've been reading all about this too. I don't know, I'm ambivalent about it (in other words, don't care enough to do anything about it) . I have the odd rose gold piece of jewellery and a watch and never feel it's as useful as silver or gold. In terms of shoes, bags etc - meh. Would never invest in either a shoe or a bag. I know the colour works well for my colouring, but again, meh. Can veer a little too Palm Beachy for my liking.

I like rose gold. If you have 'em, keep 'em! And wear 'em. Something drew you to them.

I gravitate to silver for jewellery and accessories. I did however get a Coach watch recently.....black leather strap with a square rose gold case. I thought it was a bit different than all of the black with silver watches and I liked how the rosey colour and black looked together.

Well, I got a Crate and Barrel email indicating copper is in for home decor, so I think you are covered. I got rose gold snakeskin converse last spring that I absolutely adored but I won't be overdosing... shiny in small quantities for me.

Totally into rose gold, it's my best metal. It's been picking up steam several years now, don't see that changing. I don't know that I'd consider copper as a rose gold, but it's certainly a more unique metallic. If you like the style of your oxforfds, I vote keep 'em around another season and see how you feel. I'd love to get a pair of rose gold flats-of-some-kind!

Personally, I prefer yellow gold. But I love rose gold on cool skin tones. It was EVERYWHERE in HK.

You're way ahead of me in the trend stakes, Rachylou. I hadn't noticed this at all. I do like rose-gold, though. I'd certainly go ahead and wear the copper oxfords if you still love them.

Interesting question. In jewelry, I like rose gold if it is antique; the modern stuff is too fake-copper-looking to my eye. In clothes, especially footwear, I find rose-gold metallics very fresh and appealing for warm weather. I bought a pair of rose-gold sandals at the end of last Summer, and loved looking down at my feet! The effect was nude, but glimmery--very pretty with white, pale grays, blues, & other soft colors.

It's been trending for the last couple of years, and I still love it. I've always preferred it to yellow gold on me. I actually quite like it mixed with silver. I plan on continuing to wear my rose gold, including my Sperrys (about 3-4 years old).

I tend to ignore when colors or metallics stop trending -- if I love the color, I'll wear it. I also love copper in home decor.
