Ridiculously excited for fall fashion

I know I prefer fall / winter clothes but I hadn't realized how much until I found myself practically bouncing in my seat as I see the fall collections appearing. It helps that San Francisco weather never really reaches "summer" except for a few scattered days in September.

This new AllSaints top and skirt are so perfect for my current style direction that I might even buy them full price. I can't justify that, though.

I think there have been a few threads recently about fall shopping and what season resonates with us, so I won't ask what you all are drooling over, but I've been excited to see fall looks start to appear on YLF.

YES!! I won't be able to break out fall things until at least October but I definitely prefer fall/winter clothes. Bring on the boots and sweaters!

I definitely prefer cooler weather clothing. It is usually November here for actually putting away the hot weather stuff, but I will be spending a few days in September and a week in October where it will be cool enough to pack fall clothes. This past spring was the first time I actually purchased too many things for the season, but some will be worn year round in my climate. Mostly I wait for the summer clearance sales to get anything for the hotter weather as August and September are our hottest months. Never get too excited about these, as I am more interested in the fall styles coming in the stores.

Beautiful pieces, I think they will work really well on you.
I am also excited about fall fashion itself, though I will be buying very few new items, as I bought tons last winter. But I am looking forward to wearing them in new combinations.

The skirt is some sort of waxed cotton, I think. I'm hoping it's denim-like and not too tight. I've wanted a good cotton pencil skirt for a while.

I like the idea of buying full price as the pieces you love roll out because you can start in on them NOW. I don't know how frequently All Saints has sales, but waiting might not be worth the days you have to do without something you covet!

I'm trying not to get caught up in it. But I will, I know. All Saints is the bomb, to sound like a teenager. This top is beautiful and worth paying full price for. Can someone please make skirts a little longer though? I tried on the CUTEST panelled and fit/flare leather skirt at Banana R the other day and would have bought it in a minute had it been 3 inches longer. Frustrating. Even the skirt shown with this AS top is short

This is really weird for me, being Queen Trendy and all, but I'm at loss for what I want for Fall 2014. I'm not envisioning any sort of look for me. Really weird.

I was having a bit of trouble distinguishing anything different from last fall to this fall, and I realized that I had a sense of overarching continuity of more classic shapes, but I didn't know what the fun trendy wild-cards might be.

This gave me a little food for thought though: http://www.fashionmagazine.com.....14-trends/ they list: fur, sweater dressing, red/pink/orange, statement outerwear, embellishment, optic prints, novelty bags, dark romance, art, and pointy-toed heels.
