Q&A about individual items, ensembles, and wardrobe

Ride Line boots and "skinnies"

My boots arrived yesterday and I thought I'd take some photos to get some input on the whole boots-over-skinnies look for me.
http://letitrainagain.blogspot.....nnies.html
These are the Aerosoles Ride Line boots and my CK cropped pants.
My questions are:
a) are the cropped pants narrow enough to work under the boots?
b) what do you all think of cropped pants over boots?
c) what do you think of the boots?
d) does this look even work for me? I don't want to force it if it shouldn't happen.
Thank you!

Sarah, you can so do this look!!! I love the boots!!! The cropped pants are narrow enough for the boots. But I think they are too narrow to go over-- tucked is better. I can't really comment on the whole cropped pants over boots look in general but these boots with the buckle were meant for tucking. I'm so excited!!!

P.S. where did you get your cropped jeans? I'm looking for something that color.

I'm going to blog about cropped pants with boots shortly so stay tuned.

I didn't realize you could click on the picture and make it larger. Anyway, I LOVE the boots on you. They look terrific tucked (the 2nd picture.) Are they comfy? They look like they fit your calves perfectly!

Thank you for the feedback! I think since the look is a "go", I'll probably eventually get some true skinny jeans, but it's nice to know these cropped pants tucked will work in the mean time. I'll probably tuck them into long socks to keep it neat. Don't laugh. :)
The boots are very comfy, kellygirl. I'm indebted to Angie and Tanya for suggesting I try them out. :)
I apologize, apparently it's time to clean the mirror again. And I take my photos in my husband's office/game room. This particular game takes about 30 minutes to set up so I can't ask him to put it away every time I take a photo. ;)

I just saw your PS, Patience. These are Calvin Klein and I got them at Macys. I think they still had a few pair on clearance last time I was there.

This look is awesome for you. A perfect match.

You look awesome in the jeans tucked into the boots. Fab and hot!

I personally don't care that much for the first look (cropped cuffed pants over the boots.) I think cropped pants can work well with boots in general (I saw lots of that in Germany last fall and it looked very stylish) but this particular style doesn't quite work for me, it might be due to the cuff and the visual "chopping" effect. But I'm curious what Angie will come back with...

I also have these boots in brown. Very comfy. Since they are not leather I wonder how they will be in wet weather?

Better than leather?

Sarbear, I adore those boots on you! You look great with skinnies tucked in the boots. I am also not sure about the other look, so I will be looking for Angie's post on that.

Thanks for posting the pix! I just ordered a pair from Piperlime. Zappos was sold out of my size.

The boots look great on you with the skinnies tucked in!

Thanks everyone! Tucked it is. :) I plan to swing by Express one of these days to try on real skinnies. I've yet to try any on but I wanted to make sure the boots were keepers before I bought jeans to go with them.
I live in a virtual desert (these days), HL, so rain is not much of a concern. Even then, I'm always happy when I can find non-leather options.
