Hm... I liked them in the first round, but that was before I was properly versed on UWP as your style identity. I think I'd like a more muted red for you, something that looks a little more lived-in to tie in the post-apocalyptic vibe at the same time. These look a little bit too neat and pristine to me.
Rae (my fellow Princess!), I agree. Plus it has that Christmas-y looking possibility. I'm actually eying the yellow, though - what do you think of that?
The yellow are a little better. How would you style them? I would be afraid of veering into golf pants territory, just because they are so bright (also possible Angie's golf comment is influencing me). Take this with a grain of salt, though, because to me, punk should look DIY and possibly a little dirty - I think Hot Topic poseur punk has maybe poisoned my eye to bright, clear plaids.
I suppose you know how I vote! Yay, let's be red plaid skinnies twins!
The yellow ones rock too! Or there are these red tartan pants that might be more your style (but I prefer the simplicity of the red and black plaid pattern): http://us.asos.com/Tripp-NYC-T.....cy9Qcm9kLw..
Rae's comment: "to me, punk should look DIY and possibly a little dirty" resonates completely with me (and OMG the red! THE RED! I want.). That said, I think with more muted tones you can get away with cleaner plaid pants that are more "fashion" than "punk" but still be true to the vibe if that makes sense? It depends on what you want to wear them for. Super casual? Casual? Work? IMO the more casual, the rougher (and more punk) you can be.
