revisiting 50s inspired dress

At the end of last summer, I posted this picture and asked if I should keep the dress. http://i508.photobucket.com/al.....0_9007.jpg I got a lot of responses to keep it and Tara challenged me to try it with different shoes. I didn't have a chance to do that before the weather turned last year. But a promise is a promise.

Here's the look I put together for summer 2009.

I love it by the way. I'm glad you all convinced me to keep the dress. Thank you!

LOVE the jacket with the dress. The turned-up collar is the perfect touch.

Such a pretty dress and a retro feel. You look great!

It's a totally different look with the flats and the jacket. I love it, it's still retro but with a bit of a cheeky feel to it. Great transformation!

Haha, love how you've re-styled the dress Alecia, really creative and amazing :-)

I totally love the dress with the flats and jacket. Fantastic!

Alecia, wow, what a great remix of that dress! So much younger & fresher (it was a bit staid in its previous incarnation). Do you have some red flats to try? How about a longer chain with some kind of pendant? I love how you have worked it with the jacket - very cool!
