I loved this bootie that Angie featured in the linked post. I ordered it immediately even though it hadn't been in my plans. Nordstrom didn't have it (it does now) so I ordered direct from Sole Society.

The bootie in person is just as pretty as the picture. The fit was bad though. I measure an 8 on the wide side and usually order booties in a 9 to accommodate the width in my foot. There was plenty of room in the toe, but the fit over my arch and around my ankle was sausage casing tight. So this would be a better bootie for a lower volume foot.

Even worse, the heel didn't feel stable. It seemed to cant my foot outwards, so that I had to work to hold my foot straight. I have weak ankles so this is a deal breaker for me. I contrast this with the Okalas--they have a heel too, but my feet always feel stable, straight, and upright in them.

If you have a lower volume foot that isn't picky about heel balance, this is a pretty shoe that would work with dresses, trousers, or jeans. Otherwise pass!

Be sure to order from Nordstrom so that in case of a return you don't have to pay a $7.95 restocking fee to get the credit back on your credit card (no fee for store credit).
