Recommendation for clear deodorant???

I wear a lot of navy, as you know, and now, a lot of sleeveless. And sadly, my old standby deodorant is no longer playing well with my dark tops. (This morning, a male client pointed out my deodorant marks: UGH.)

I am not a user of natural deodorant and have pretty simple needs:

clear-drying
unscented

Any recommendations?

A business client pointed out deodorant marks?! That leaves me ... at a loss for words. I can't imagine looking at someone and saying, "hey, did you know your blouse has deodorant marks on it?"

However, I'll be looking forward to hearing others' recommendations, as this is a problem I want to solve, too.

I have never been able to find one that is completely clear. However, I have a deodorant removal sponge similar to the one attached in Finds and it works very well for me.

This guy is a nonstop talker, very type A, no filter, highly strung, and very nice. Perhaps not the strongest social skills. He wasn't rude about it, just sort of "Oh, by the way ..." It was fine. I have a thick skin.

Do you want an anti-perspirant? If not, I have found Vichy deodorant to dry clear and be almost as effective as the ones with aluminum compounds in them. A bit spendy, but they last a long time and don't crumble. Not aware of a scent with them.

I use Nivea Invisible for Black and White roll-on and love it. It's the best I've found for both odor control and no marks on clothing. It's not unscented (hard to find) but the scent is very light and unobtrusive. I avoid scented products and don't mind this one.

I wanted to try one of the new sprays that goes on dry and picked up one by Dove. It doesn't control odor as well and my armpits are itchy. It's going in the garbage.....I'll stick with my Nivea Invisible.

Certain-Dri. It's a clear, colourless, odourless liquid. You put it on the night before and it prevents perspiration the next day (or, for many people, for several days). I used to have an excessive perspiration problem and several ladies pointed me in the direction of this product. It works like a charm. Initially I put it on nightly, but now I only need it a couple of times a week. I still wear "normal" deodorant most days because I like the scent, though.

Like Marilyn, I tried the new Dove dry spray as well. It didn't leave white marks, but my made my armpits itch and break out in a rash the 2rd or 3rd day I used it. Mine went into the trash as well.

I am not trying Secret Invisible and it works better than the others I've tried, but I still do get some white marks.

I use Dove invisible dry and never had marks on my clothes. It has a slight scent though.

I wear Dove anti-perspirant for sensitive skin. I can't remember the last time I had deodorant marks with this stuff. I do know the way to get the marks off, even with navy, which I wear often. I simply dampen a washcloth and rub the marks off. Easy peasy!

That's interesting , Banoffi. (re similar experience with Dove spray). I've never had a deodorant that made my armpits so itchy after just two days.

I use the sensitive skin, 24-HR Dove stick, which lasts for days for me if that's not TMI. Lol.

Actually, the Dove anti-perspirant I use is unscented and is a stick. It's probably the same one Rachylou uses. At any rate, my DH and DD also use it. It's that good.

If you want an antiperspirant I use Degree Ultra Clear. It has a goofy black dress on the packaging. It's not perfect, but much better than standard stuff.

I apply only at night and shower in the morning, so I never have any product on my skin during he day to stain clothes. I use suave clinical strength-- it's scented, but I apply right before bed. After a shower he scent is gone. Most of the "super strength" antiperspirants recommend applying this way at night-- but it might work with a "regular" one too.

I like this Kiehl's cream deoderant. I haven't seen any residue at all, it's unscented, and it works for me.

I just checked, lol. The Dove anti-perspiration for sensitive skin that I use is 24 hr. I don't think it's scented.

I've used Clinique Deodorant for thirty plus years. Roll on, no scent. If you let it dry before you dress there are no marks.

Do the Certain Dri and Clinique deodorants make yellow marks on light colored clothing? I find all anti-perspirants I use with aluminum in them turn my clothes yellow, so I use Arm and Hammer deodorant when I wear light clothes, but it doesn't work as well in the humid summer months.

I found an awesome deodorant spray in the UK a couple of weeks ago - Right Guard total defense 5 for women that worked well all day, didn't show up on dark clothes (you just let it dry a minute) and didn't stain my light clothes. We don't seem to have it here in the US though.

Following this thread with interest. Has anyone noticed how few unscented deodorants there are on the market (targeted to women)? Often I buy men's because it's easier to find unscented. But they do leave white marks which I wipe away with a wash cloth.

Using a knee high or pantyhose is the best way to get rid of the white marks - super quick, gets all of it off, and your clothes aren't damp after.

I use Jason deodorant - it goes on with some white but what I do is let it dry really well and then dab it lightly with a tissue to get any of the noticeable white off - I wear navy a lot and haven't noticed an issue with it if I do the above steps. Sometimes I do reapply this midway in the day.

It may not be right for everyone, but it seems to work well for me.

Also, a trick for getting the white off if you DO get it on your clothes is to use the underside of the garment as the "sponge" and wipe the white spots off with it. It works for me pretty much every time and never stains my clothing.

Also, this deodorant does not "yellow" my whites - normal chemical ones always did.
