Thanks for the love, everyone. Sticking only to items that really fit has helped me feel a bit better about my body. Also, I've stopped feeling that I should follow or even really try the "shorter on top" trend of the moment. The lace top hangs below my waist line and is not fitted. And I purposely sized up on the Zara bomber to get a longer line. I'm so happy I did. I really love the look for me, and I am much less self-conscious in it.
Angie / Janet / Anne / Mirjana / Meredith: This lace top was such a find, and so unexpected. Like Janet, I've been thinking about layering it, too. I have a couple of l/s tees from Kit and Ace that are too snug to wear alone but might be great under this. Also, maybe a white button down for a more preppy look if offset with something RATE? I really want to find ways to wear this top more. I'm in love with the color.
Suz / UmmLila / Elizabeth P / La Ped / Lyn: I love these Halogen loafers! They really strike exactly the look I was aiming for (especially with the Teddies), and are comfortable up to about 8 hours (not sure if anything works that well beyond 8 these days). And Elizabeth, the sweater is old, at least 2 years.
Smittie / Shevia / Joy / Brooklyn / KKards: I really don't do light footwear except my Stan Smith sneakers. It's fun to look at those who wear white sandals, pumps, and booties, but they are really not for me. These buff suede booties, though? Definitely work. And they feel very "laid back LA" with some worn jeans and a slouchy top.
Approprio / Diane / Sisi: If I could carry Jackson, I think I'd always feel stylish.
