Summer clothes are always challenging, especially for work wear. I want to look appropriate for the dress code at my workplace, cool enough for hot weather outside, warm enough for over-air conditioned buildings, not to mention avoid sunburns. It's a very delicate balance.
Plus, a few weeks back I broke my sunglasses and haven't found a replacement pair yet, so it kind of forced me to start wearing my straw hat most days.
June 2: Black walking shorts, voluminous patterned blouse, beige and black patent flats, turquoise & black necklace
June 3: Green dress, yellow flats, yellow and white scarf, straw cloche hat
June 4: Navy eyelet dress, teal lace-trimmed camisole, nude pumps, straw cloche hat, cream floral pin
June 9: Teal dress, black zipper leggings, beige and black patent flats, black camisole, turquoise and black necklace
June 10: Pink banded knit blouse (new - I know this isn't a narrow band like Angie recommends, but it's the first banded blouse that I truly like on myself), denim pencil skirt, nude pumps, long floating pearl necklace
June 12 and 13: (Weekend wear, not work wear)
Friday - skinny jeans, black tunic, pewter "Brulee" gladiators, long floating pearl necklace
Saturday - olive dress, black camisole, black leggings (same ones that Shiny has), bronze flats, wire-wrapped stone pendant necklace
Looking over the past few weeks, I realize how much I'm repeating favorite items and/or combinations. I had no idea how often I was wearing that the turquoise or floating pearl necklaces.
