I don't know if i have the patience for all that hand sewing but it someone really wanted it and can't afford to buy the original this seems like perfect substitute!

Hi Nicole, this is great isn't it? I have it bookmarked. Not sure if I have the patience either but I have been on the lookout for a plain trench and I would love to give it a go. Otherwise I did consider getting a dressmaker to do it!

I haven't been lusting over that trench in particular, but it would be fun to take the same technique and add white tipping to my navy blazer, for example. A lot less sewing, too! Thanks for the inspiration!

Ooh if I had time for this I'd do it in a heartbeat. Fantastic and can't believe with all my quilt binding I didn't think of it.
