Question: Why are you ordering LE puffer coats now?

Many of you are hoping onto this band wagon! Is there an advantage that I have missed?

LOL - I was wondering the same thing! They are having a sale (at least when I linked on Kelly's link it appeared that way).

They are on significant discount now Angie so for someone like me, who had a new puffer on her shopping list come fall, it actually works out cheaper to buy it now on discount then wait for the fall/winter season when it will be full price.

At least that's my story - and I'm sticking to it! (lol)

Yes, I felt a bit silly too. But when I think about the fact that I'm paying 60€ instead of 200€... and then I can use that money for a new pair of boots this fall! I hope the other one I ordered works out.

I bought a puffer locally last winter and it was 40% off. It was still around $200. The one I bought on sale at LE was about $50. Having said that, the one I bought locally is dressier but for my more casual coat, the LE prices and quality can't be beat. If I didn't already have the two pklus the cobalt leather puffer, I'd be tempted too.

Yeah, I was hoping to get one on the cheap because I wanted one for specific occasions. Plus, these have been put through the paces by our very own Rita and MaryK, so I felt it is a good value and not just a good price.

Easy answer: Summer is when puffers go on sale because no one else wants to try them on, much less buy them!

It did sound strange for me at first until I saw the discounted prices and ordered one. For me is one of those items that I need but usually postpone buying because they are such a big investment(another example are winter boots) and because they are not the most fashionable things.

$54 sounded like a good deal for a winter parka that they say keeps your warm at -35 F.

Yup, gotta grab the deals when you can....I hope there are still some around next month, cuz I could sure use a new winter coat. DH says to 'just not go out' when the weather is bad (I dont work) but I take a few people to appts, go grocery shopping, etc, and in Mn the cold spells can last for a long time!

I did the same sort of thing a few years ago (snapped something up that was out of season) - bought some gorgeous chocolate brown ECCO boots in June/July for something like $50. Crazy! At least I knew my size in that brand, so it wasn't much of a risk.

I got my LE puffer during a sale for around $50 and it's been a great puffer, so I say snap it up if it's on sale!

I failed at finding the puffers on LE's site on my own, so THANK YOU MONA for the link!!! DD is moving from California to Illinois for college, so she will NEED a puffer since she is not used to the cold even though I know she won't be keen on the look. It helps so much to pay only $53 vs. $169 + tax!!!

When I clicked on Mona's link to the diamond down puffer coat, I noticed a banner at the top:

I don't know if this is because I am signed up to get their e-mails, but - try the code, you might get an *additional* 25% off your order. But then...you'd have to order up a bit to get the free shipping.

I ordered 3 NQP items the last time around and couldn't see a darned thing wrong with any of them. Really a shame they didn't fit me. :T

How funny. I haven't been been on in a couple of weeks, then I get on on the two hottest days ever for this time of year here...and people are buying puffers. I thought that I had passed out and it was really winter. LOL.

But LE is having fantastic sales. I just bought a bunch of stuff this week ( though not a puffer ).
