Sunny the puppy decided that one of my husband's favorite scarves -- a long, casual, striped wool scarf -- would be a great chew toy. You know, because socks aren't satisfying enough.

Would it be possible to repair this, or cut the damaged portion off and finish the ends or do something with the fringe? It's plenty long enough that it would still work if it were shorter. Any suggestions?
