I don't know if any of these will hit the right notes with you, but here goes:

Here's a cool t-shirt with a chunk out of one of the arms:

Get your karate chop on with a helmut lang white vest below (or a less karate one, also shown below).

kkards - yes, anything longer than my knees might not see the light of day until November, but those are cute. alaskagirl has the cute blue camo shorts that are very similar.

smittie - the linen vest is definitely in my range - out of my budget but great inspiration.

I wear these Ecco Damaria sandals with your core neutrals. The quality is really good and they provide all day comfort.

I thought you might like some modern classic denim by a fellow Brit in Amsterdam. Here's a cool summer take on the jeans jacket by one of our local designers:

Tex, here are my contributions. I thought I would choose from a British company for fun (I think they may ship to the US though ;))

shedev - I have those sandals in taupe!

approprio - I think I've had a love/hate relationship with faded denim on top. I love my dark denim jacket and my light chambray shirt, but I always end up returning any light denim jackets, though I've tried several over the years.

Alasse - I do have a very deep olive green utility jacket and a white linen shirt very similar to the first one.

Diane G. - I hope you are having great fun in London! Thank you for sharing some great items. I love the embellished tank and think it would look very cute under that textured moto jacket. I haven't been able to do leather cuffs though - I think they feel too "boho" or masculine or something for me. Most of my jewelry is a bit lighter in feel I think. I do wear an embellished wide leather belt often in summer.

I can't believe how busy this week has been - it's been very hard to get back here to see the fun suggestions and to make comments - but it's really so fun.

Thanks again to Alaskagirl for starting the QFOD!

Texstyle, I thought of you when I saw this Boden linen tank in navy. I wonder if it would work well in the heat.

Texstyle, for your very casual style - how about a hybrid of jeans and track pants? They should be cooler than the regular jeans.

This has been fun to look for something for someone who lives in my climate.
I love this EF top and thought it would look great on you.
I thought you might like the shoes breezy.
I thought this belt would be good for summer.

A soft jogger pant in olive wouldn't go amiss. Topped with a breezy button down sleeveless topper, and fab strappy sandals for a cool, casual look.

columbine - that is a cute navy tank and yes, it would work in my climate.

sveta - I tried so hard to find a pair of lightweight track style pants this year but just didn't find the right ones for me - sizing was all over the place and some were just too thick.

debbie - yes, those are all perfect hot climate picks! I have a very similar belt and sandals and love the hem on that tank.

runcarla - you and sveta were thinking along the same lines - and so was I but I just haven't found the right ones for me yet.

I like this knit vest for you. The blue stood out to me for some reason but it also comes in olive green!

FYI I just ordered the green! : )
