The colors in your top are more rich than deep -- which keeps the floral more muted. It might be a bit brighter IRL than in the photo, but it would still be far from a "bright floral."

This is an outfit you should wear again and again. It's interesting, harmonious and very flattering in fit and proportion. And I agree with Angie: Your hair looks marvelous.

Here's hoping for a day of reflection and comfort in Canada.

Michelle, I can see the colors but they are a bit "blackened." Dark rather than bright. I like it as it seems more sophisticated and rich.

Michelle, I’m quite late to the party, but I just have to say that cape is absolutely fabulous on you. You make it look very smart and sophisticated - it's the outerwear statement of a woman who dares to dress in her own style.

You look amazing. We should all bow down.

YLF Michelle very polished, curent AND put together, wow! Love the shoe choice, they are very smart to this outfit-so they may be another statement piece, you have not thought at, LOL! I do have a similar pair of jeans with tonal (or textured?) animal pattern, and I do know they are subtle enough to be successfully paired with any other pattern, but your florals are still very subtle. Love it's blackened effect, and cape is surely not only fab and comfy but practical, too!

Be still my heart. This is one of your best outfits ever!!

Wow, the cape is FANTASTIC. The fit, the fall, the way you've filled in the neckline with the scarf (scarf, right? not turtle-neck?).

Anyways, I haven't read all the comments... but you have done an all-statement outfit to perfection. I think the key is the muted contrast between pieces and the muted contrast between the pattern elements within each piece. Oh wait a second, I have to go *heart* this thread, so I can remember this strategy...
