I am so excited. I have had the Olivia Zip Frame Satchel in Charcoal from Banana Republic in my shopping bag for weeks, waiting for a sale. It is constantly on exlusions. This morning it is not only on sale, but wow -- it is 50% off of $175 and another 30% off of that! $64.93 with tax!

I tried to copy / paste the image, but I don't know how to do that - need to figure it out.

Mary - I think that handbag shelf has a little more room!

Laurie- thanks for the PSA! Viva- thanks for the Find link. Just ordered it as I have worn out my magical gray satchel and have looked for a replacement for a year and a half. All were either too big, the "wrong" gray, not well made or too well made for my wallet (YSL). Even if this winds up not being my dream gray bag, at this price point it is a good place holder. Size looks perfect.

Appreciate your good deeds of the day. When I found the first bag, it was a "souvenir" from a trip to Paris and gray accessories were everywhere. Much harder to find since then.

Laurie, have you seen the bag IRL? I am curious about the actual color of the charcoal? It looks quite taupe/brown on my monitor.

But what a great deal! At the sale price, I might even consider the black one even though it's not quite as inexpensive.

I'm so glad that this heads-up was useful for some of you. I have not received it yet, nor seen IRL, and have a feeling like many things called "grey" it may end up more on the taupe side, but I love this particular type of BR bag, and the color will be a great neutral.
I'll post when it arrives!

Bag arrived -- have not photographed as am still recovering from my hip surgery adventure, but it is beautiful and will definitely show up in a pic soon.
It is smaller than the famous Evan satchel that Mary and I love which is a very large bag, and the size is nice. It is definitely a charcoal grey, and not a taupe that leans brown or green, which is exactly what I hoped for. I am delighted with it.
