Pretty flat sandals?

I think I OD'd on gladiators for the past several years and I'm honestly just sick of them. I'm tired of skinny straps and strappy styles in general, and I'm definitely over the whole "tough" thing.

I'm looking for pretty sandals with nice details, and flat (not necessarily pancake flat, but without a heel).

Buttery soft leather is an absolute MUST and they should work for a wider foot. I'd prefer a lighter color like cream or white. No brown or black. I already have enough black shoes and I don't like brown.

Any suggestions?

Maya, are your sure your over the gladiator "thing"? Your two choices from Amazon seem quite amazonian to me, although the red sandal is VERY pretty. There are similar sandals to the Kate Spades available through Clarks - the style is called "tin whistle" and I hope that they're available in cream. (I know Clarks shoes are available in the USA through some or other website?) This is the UK link:

I really like number one. It's sweet, pretty and classy I don't love gladiators myself, if you ask me.

I think the studs on #2 still give them that tough edge you seem to be wanting to get away from? I can totally see you in #1 but i think #3 would maybe be more versatile for the times when you didn't want a bow on your sandals (if you happen to have times like that? ).

I guess the fact that they are so gladiator-esque kind of presents the problem. I was hoping the bows and ruffles would serve to mask the gladiator vibe, especially in a soft color like peach.

Basically I have gone from refusing anything even remotely gladiator-like to trying to find a compromise…because there is nothing out there that isn't gladiator-ish or just plain frumpy or boring.

Suzanne, we do get Clarks here but none of the cute styles, apparently. A shame because their shoes work well for my feet.

I like to wear flat sandals a lot. It's a very comfortable one and mostly whole year I wear flats. Gladiator is like a bit complicated one for me to wear and open up during a rush hour. So I prefer two lace flats more than anything.
