Presidential hair (not political)

So, one of the things that has bugged me about our new US president is his hair. Why doesn't his stylish wife insist that he get a decent hairdresser? My friend the therapist put forth her theories, which I won't go into now. This last week, I've seen video clips of a now neater, better hairdo that will frustrate many cartoonists.

Gone is the orange hair. Gone is the sloppy, ends sticking out all over hair cut of so many photos and videos. (Sorry--I'll leave it to others to show the new an the old.) I'm surprised I haven't seen an article on this yet--maybe I missed it?

Like it or not, hair and grooming are an important part of how all of our image before the world.

I agree that it has changed, just simpler and less a feature. I think this is a good move.

Charlie Rose replayed an ancient interview with The Donald... he had a mullet, which is bad enough, but it was a BAD mullet. It wasn't done right, lol.

Anyways, I hadn't noticed any hair improvements. And I mean, who would The Donald be if he got good hair?

It got lighter and more helmet like but i juts think 45 has been that way for what 70 years probably wont move far from what he is comfortable with.

There was an old interview where he said it was his trademark. This was a toned down version of it.

I didn't notice any difference in the hair last night - I will look again when the inevitable clips are shown on morning news. I was pleased to see he was wearing a better tailored suit, and a different tie. Let's hope that continues.

FLOTUS and Ivanka both looked gorgeous, as they always do, but I did think both of their outfits were a little too cocktail party-ish for that
particular occasion.

I agree that the hair seemed a little toned down last night, still way too long for my taste though. And his suits are so ill-fitting! Really? You're a billionaire, get your suits tailored (I didn't notice if last night's was better, I'll have to look again)! And some nice ties! Sorry, maybe that's just me. I agree Ryce, that Milania and Ivanka both looked nice but veer too far to cocktail party most of the time.

I wonder how it morphed into the current style? I would love to see a time lapse series of photos showing the transition. I didn't know about the mullet. I think if he tried that now, it would be more of a "skullet." I wonder who's in charge of the presidential pelt? Maybe he just does it himself.

My DH usually doesn't comment on appearance, but for some reason he said Gary Johnson (the 2016 Linertarian Party presidential candidate) had a bad haircut. I think every agrees that Trumps hair looks awful. I can't imagine being rich and not being better groomed and having better clothes, but he might be a tightwad in those areas. He also may not think that these things matter. I'm just speculating, of course.

I saw the Charlie Rose interview that Rachy was referring to. He does seem to have gone through a bit of a hair evolution. There was a change of color right before the debates. Prior to that his hair seemed like an orange blurry haze floating on top of his head. My hairdresser tried to explain the dynamics of it which seemed to involve forward and then backward brushing/combing--it was a little hard to follow. I remember reading that he had anticipated a total change of hairstyle if he became president--something like the son that has the slicked back hair--apparently the pre-election hairdo was quite time-consuming so a subtle new evolution may already be in the works. It's hard to fathom how he could have come up with any of the looks he's had up to this point--you would think some sort of expert opinion might have prevailed

At the risk of getting a little too political, I don't think this is someone who takes the advice of experts in any field. He's his own man.
