I am sending tons of positive vibes your way and am thinking of Koda! Thanks so much for letting us know what the vet said. I do hope the meds are working and that Koda is already doing a little better by now?
Oh I am so sorry to see this, I hope your dear doggie gets better soon. I'm sending positive thoughts and prayers your way. Has the doctor ruled out lyme disease?
Viva, can you maybe look up the option of giving him some liquid B12 in the methylcobalamin form? It's supposed to be of help for spinal issues I believe. My cat did better on it when she was very senior and losing her back leg strength.
Oh, Viv, I am so sorry about your sweet boy. He is just precious. My aunt and uncle always had Cairns and they are wonderful pups. I pray that he responds well to the meds. Gentle hugs to Koda and kisses from Daisy and Lily.
Veterinary treatments are so advanced these days that I'm sure you'll be able to get to the bottom of Koda's problem. Wishing you and your sweet little dog all the best for a positive outcome.
Hearing that Koda was able to wobble over to greet you was the best news! It sounds like his spirit is strong, and he's moving in the right direction. Please keep us posted on how the little guy is doing.
What a cute dog! I hope you are able to figure out what's going on. Years ago we had a lab who became paralyzed in her hind legs. It turned out to be a tumor in her spine.
As follow up to Karie's comment, which I hadn't noticed. My first dog, Portia (a wheaten terrier), had Lyme in the 1990s before there was a vaccine. And she did indeed become very weak and hardly able to walk (unless she was crazy excited). She made a full recovery after having antibiotic therapy. I hope Koda's doing well.
