Q&A about individual items, ensembles, and wardrobe

Pop of color

Hi everyone, it's been awhile!

So I've more or less come to terms with the fact that I gravitate towards neutrals - blacks, greys, navy, and the occasional brown. In an effort to not look so monochromatic, I've been trying to incorporate a pop of color into all of my looks - for example a grey boyfriend cardigan with a tank top and a yellow scarf. My everyday fall flats (super comfortable!) are a deep red. I think I need to play with more prints - my current favorite cardigan is off white and black with bright yellow accents and although it's not very brightly colored it's definitely interesting.

I'm looking for more inspiration - how else do you incorporate a pop of color into outfits that would otherwise be sort of blah and make them visually appealing?

Casey, have you looked at the Ann Taylor site yet? Lovely colors in a nicely done way. Look at the page called, "Latest Looks". or something to that effect.

Statement necklace, coloured handbags, bangles, scarves come in all colours and can be tied in a variety of ways, how about belts? x

Accessories are the easiest way to add colour to your outfit, but don't forget your nail polish and lipstick.
