Ponte Pants

Several people have mentioned ponte pants, and I am intrigued, as I love my ponte skirt. I'm interested in fairly tailored ponte, straight leg if possible. And tall! Has anyone seen a great ponte pant or can you suggest a good place to start looking?

I have also been looking but my budget is a problem. San has a beautiful pair so I hope she replies. What kind of leg opening are you looking for?

I am also looking and have actually found a great pair from MACY's INC line yesterday, but they did not have it in my size ( I tried on 4P and learned that I will need a 2R). I am personally looking for a jeans cut, straight leg ( no calf hugging like leggings). Since the budgt is a concern for me too, I have decided to stay away from premium lines here, but some of them have some gorgeous pairs out (Paige, 7FAM, Marc Jacobs, Joe's). Here's the INC pair I will be stalking and hopefully getting once they go on sale:

I just bought a pair of ponte pants at Chicos...very nice quality, narrow leg, decent rise, and the leg length was good. I don't know how many inches off the top of my head but I was very pleased and I like mine around 33". They were pricy at $79 but since this item was at the top of my fall shopping list, I was willing to be more spendy on this item. I'm not sure they will still be in stock when they go on sale since they were selling so fast. All the charcoal ones were gone in my size (in all 600 stores!) so I went with black. They also have chocolate brown.

Here is what came up at Nordstroms.

I bought mine at the NAS and I believe they are Theory. I don't see them at Nordstom's website anymore.
Tanya has a good point on the shape of the pants to choose, some are like leggings and some are like jeans. Mine are made like jeans with a zipper front and pockets.
I'm stilll waiting for cooler weather to wear them. I love the look, and talk about comfy! These comfy styles are a little bit scary because you can feel like you are out in your jammies.

I bought 3 pair of ponte 5 pocket straight leg at Chico's the chocolate brown, gray and black. I love them. They do not loose their shape and are very comfortable. They are $79.00 but today they have $10.00 off all pants. If they do not have your size they will locate you a pair. I have coupon codes if needed.

I'm also interested in finding these but most look ankle length in the pictures. The INC at 33" is good. What is the inseam on the Chicos? Usually their size 0 is too big but maybe these are stretchy enough to work.

Nordstroms Rack had some yesterday. They were way too long for me though at 5'3".

Ana, Patience, and I saw these ones this weekend. I didn't try them on.

Martin + Osa has sales regularly, so it's worth checking.

The chicos are 31 1/2 in the ponte 5 pocket . they have a preston ponte pull up pant that comes in tall 34 1/2 but I did not like the preston ponte. The 5 pocket are much more youthful looking. I got the 1 and i am 5' 2 " weight 150. The zero might be too big.
