Ponte knit pants

I have not worn these yet and they still have the tags on them. I got them out yesterday and tried them on again. I feel they are too short. There is no scrunch around the ankles. I believe someone mentioned this when I first posted them here on YLF.
I also think they may be too big. They are Theory size 4, and the fabirc makeup is 35% cotton, 35# rayon, 23% nylon, 4% spandex, dry clean only. Is this a recipe for stretching and bagging out?

Do you think they are too short, and too big for me?
Have you all found a ponte knit pant to recommend?
Thankyou.

I also wear a 4 in Theory (not that I own anything from them--just tried on a pair of pants from TJ Maxx once), and I suspect they run a touch small. They do not look big on you though but they are a tad short. I asked about whether or not ponte pants will stretch and bag out and the answer was no, although I am unsure about that particular combination of fabrics. I would trust that a brand like Theory would not have that problem though.

It does seem like a high content of cotton doesn't it?
I just looked through Bloomingdale's webpage and I see that some ponte knit pants are ankle length and some are longer with scrunch. Mine seem to be inbetween the two. I think I prefer the longer with scrunch if I should wear them with shoes other than tucked into boots.

San, they look fine to me. are you planning to use it with flats?

I definately want to tuck into boots, but I also want the option to wear with shoes just as if they are skinny or straight leg jeans.

San, I think that they look a bit too big. I do not think they are too short although I am not sure how much scrunch is the right amount. So many of the new slimmer jeans are cropped more at the ankle perhaps because the leg opening is more narrow.

I think they maybe a little big but I think they are the right length.

I think that the length is a matter of personal preference - both ankle and scrunched would work. They do look a bit big though. Could you exchange them for size 2?

I don't know if they are still available in a 2 since I bought them during the Nordstrom's anniversary sale.

I think you may have lost weight since you bought them, Sandy. The length looks fine to me, though.

If they don't have a 2, could you try the INC ones from Macys?

FWIW I think you look great in ponte pants. Definitely try to find a pair that fits better because they look great. Especially with that blouse.
