Hi Inge,

I thought this was an interesting article. I actually saw a trailer for this movie and felt I recognised the actress but nearly fell over when I found it out was Tilda Swinton! It was as though I was looking at 'every woman' and this article elaborates on why.

I like to read about marketing techniques and consumer behaviours, because I don't think my fashion choices are personal, but heavily influenced by others.

I was interested to read that :
1- age seems the most important factor - the shopping tribes are actually age groups.
2- with the advent of online shopping, we spend twice as much time shopping than before
3- how impatient people are to receive their online purchases.

When I moved into my old house with my husband and 8 month old daughter I noticed a little girl about 4 with several bald spots. As she grew older and I got to know her better and as the remainder of her hair fell out, I learned of her insecurities and fears first hand. I wish I knew where she lives now because I would forward this article to her.

Interesting article from WSJ on copycat shopping someone else's clothes you like. While YLF's share their finds and embrace the "twins", "triples" in clothing pieces with forum members, would you find it creepy or flattering when family/close friends copy your clothes. I think it's o.k. as long as we're not wearing the same identical outfit at the same event.

HiggsMistress, I am about to read your article but you touched a nerve:) Some friends of ours have recently moved to own town and she has openly stated how much she likes how I dress and is now shifting her style to mine!! She has started shopping at my fave store here and buying if not the same, very much items I would wear... I am not exactly sure how i feel about it. lol
